Hello guys,

A small query which may sound silly.

Can the primary and secondary applicants get their medicals done from different places.

Asking because I am hoping to get a MR in 1-2 weeks time.

I am in Germany, however my wife will be in India over next 2 months.

I believe it should not be a problem as eventually it will all get updated to the same database.

But thought of checking with you guys.

Cheers.

Seniors,

It's almost 2 months and 1 week since I received AOR from Colombo visa office and no update in ECAS for 2nd line update.

Is there anyone who is waiting MR request from Colombo visa office?

Regards,

Hi Guys,
Want to share info.
I met CIIP official today.
Asked him about POF at Port of entry- he advised me to carry minimum needs to carry mentioned by CIC per applicant. Also try to carry as much as possible because first time immigration it won't come under taxable amount.
I inquired about electronic gadgets like TV and other stuff, he mentioned that everything is duty and tax free for first time entry for new immigration.
But we have to declare everything at Port of entry including if something shipped by cargo or ship.
Also advised to fill up B4 form and DL experience letter from RTO.

Thx for the info... One question, are all goods accompanying and goods to follow (including brand new items) duty and tax free for new immigrants at time of first landing?? As some ppl said brand new items are taxable even at first landing, is that true?? I am confused....please advise...

Hi,
I also heard the same thing as I tried to send stuff but cargo. They said old things don't have any problems but new might get stopped.
I can suggest for minimal purchase of electronic stuff.

Yes medicals can be done in different countries....All u need to do is get it done from CIC-approved Panel physicians anywhere in the world...Many people have done this successfully....:)

Guys,
I have suggestion for everyone who are going to book tickets or buy forex.
Try to negotiate with them.
When you are booking on like yatra then tell them lower rates of other websites.
saved 1200 Rs from yatra.

Can you please tell me how to raise case specific enquiry? I though i just have to send a mail to delhi-im-enquiry @ international.gc.ca

Hi All,
If anyone has raised a case specific query to NDVO, please let me know how to. It is to ask NDVO about my PPR mail not received yet.

Go on the following link and fill the required details and your query..

Hi all,
Got 2nd in line update - we have started processing your application on May 25th.
