Hey arkscan,
Could you please predict that HKVO will send MR and PPR together after having already asked for PCC and RPRF? ;D

Hahaha Heck :P..I woudn't dare...From the time spent there, I know all Hong-Kong-ers pride themselves on being inscrutable.... ;)

Seriously though, u don't want MR+ PPR to come together...For that u wud have to surrender ur PPs to the Embassy and not be able to travel anywhere but it'd take it's own merry time in finalizing the case...SGVO does this, and keeps the PPs for months on end..Applicants have had to ask SGVO to give back the PP without getting Visa stamped, then travel, then again submit PP...hassles all around... :)..Hope u get ur MR soon!!!

Hey Arkscan,

Hope you can advice me what should be done in my case. My TLU on 7th April. Still waiting for PPR.
Pls confirm what is delaying my case.

1. I have a travel history to Canada for 2 yrs 2010-2012.
2. My wife is expecting and we came to know 10 days back and as per my consultant I have sent them the mail informing about my wife & asked them to send me PPR.

Now I am confused becoz as per some people I must have not informed them about my wife status but my consultant has worked in embassy and as per her experience we will get PPR.

Now I am stuck what should I do? Should I send that mail again or not?
Or should I wait?

Kindly suggest.

Regards,

Hi Buddy,

Ur not that delayed....Many ppl are waiting for longer than u....U can see from my timeline, i got PPR more than 60 days after TLU, other have reported it around 90-100 days afterwards....Ur still within the normal time-frame...

And coming to ur wife's pregnancy, congrats for ur happy news :)...Honestly though, if ur wife is not far along, I think you should not have updated it...immediately after PPR and stamping u could have traveled and the baby could have been born a Canadian citizen...

But now since you have informed already, you just have to wait and see what the VO does...You could still get ur DM and PPR (others have reported this), but even before PP stamping, they might decide to keep ur file on-hold (and return ur PP without stamping) until the baby is born then ask u to submit the baby's docs and then issue you all ur PR visas...Ur Consultant should be knowledgeable abt the Embassy workings just ask her if the VO issues the Visa and allows a family to land in Canada even in case of an expected change in Family Composition..I haven't heard of such a case before actually...Anyways, either way, u wud get ur PR Visas ultimately :)

At this point, u do not need to do anything else....W8 for the VO's response..

I have following crossing my mind, could anyone please help and throw some light on these?

1) How much time it takes to get an PR card to a given address once we land?
2) If we come back to home country(India) just before getting the PR card at Canada address, would that be a problem?
3) After coming back to India without PR card, can my friend send me PR card over courier? Is that allowed and safe?
4) Will immigration officer at airport would ask to show PR card while going to India after our first landing?
5) What forms and information do I need to provide to immigration officer in Canada upon our first arrival?

Would reply appreciate time and efforts.

Regards

Hi Guys,
Want to share info.
I met CIIP official today.
Asked him about POF at Port of entry- he advised me to carry minimum needs to carry mentioned by CIC per applicant. Also try to carry as much as possible because first time immigration it won't come under taxable amount.
I inquired about electronic gadgets like TV and other stuff, he mentioned that everything is duty and tax free for first time entry for new immigration.
But we have to declare everything at Port of entry including if something shipped by cargo or ship.
Also advised to fill up B4 form and DL experience letter from RTO.

Hello dear friends and brothers
If you remember I posted two days ago that no third line was posted on Ecas after I sent medical results early March 2015 and I also told you that I received a request to pay RPRF just a couple of days ago on April 26th and guess what? Today I found this on ecas that (3) Medical results were received and that (4) a DECISION HAS BEEN MADE.
I hope it should be positive to celebrate!

congrats giftsmas . enjoy the day
