My consultant had sent an enquiry to NDVO three weeks ago, to which NDVO's resopnse is as below (I have only written key points are the whole mail is lenghty):

Under Canada's immigration legistation, all immigrant applicants are subject to statutory requirements, including medicals and background checks. In this context, certain background investigations are being conducted in connection with your application.As these investigations are being conducted by outside agencies, we have no purview over the processing time. For now, there is no action required on your part.

Dont know when will they send MR. so far no verification has happened at any of the work places. ???

During landing, For proof of funds does original Bank statement(with bank stamp on it )with international debit card will work? ICICI or RBS or HDFC.

or

Traveller's cheque is the only which is currently supported.

I am going to stay in Canada for only 10 Days.
