even I got DM on may 7 and no sign of PPR yet.

Same story here. App filed 14th July, DM on May 9... No ppr yet :'( :-\ :-[

Bring as much as you want in whatever form you want, but if you bring more than $10K or its equivalent you must declare it to customs.

I had a doubt....During the Application Process we had to show 11000+ CAD for a single applicant, 14000+ CAD for 2 applicants and so on...So now when we are landing, we don't need to show this much?? Bcos this guy is carrying just 6000 CAD in total...

How much are we required to carry really? Say, if I am going for a short landing for just 10 days, I can land with 3000 CAD only? Won't it cause a problem during landing, won't the Officer ask questions?

Hi Arkscan,

If I am not wrong, you need to carry the entire amount irrespective of the duration of your stay in Canada.
Even if you want to leave the same day you land, you still need the entire amount with you. Hope this helps.

Hey, thanks for your response.

The thing is that i live in Dublin, Ireland and the Canadian embassy in Dublin doesn't do anything related to visas. All the immigration related matters of Irish residents are dealt but the London visa office. Thus, I'll have the same issue with London visa office, as it's another country again, and will not be able to leave the UK until I get back my passport.

Also, I read that it is illegal to 'post' Indian passport overseas, however it is legal for the passport to be carried overseas by a person authorised by the holder of the passport. That's what I wanted to clarify about.

Any advice?

We can send your passport via courier,however you have to get a letter from embassy.Also you have to send it to a known person in your country and that person has to go and submit your PP along with the embassy letter(You cannot directly send to VFS).Again for him to send it back a letter is required from passport office.Otherwise at customs officer will hold your passport.This happened to one of my friend as he did not get the letter from embassy.However he managed to get his PP with the visa.This is the procedure for SL and hope applicable to all nations

I think with the authorization letter you can send it through your friend.Please contact your Indian Embassy in Ireland.
