Dear Friends,

Visa Office : NDVO
NOC Code : 2171
App. Filed : July 15 2014
Nomination : Nov 10 2014
IELTS Request : With application
RPRF/PCC/Med Req: Jan 13 2015

Do we still have June/July applicants waiting for PPR. Any thoughts when I can get it. Even some wild guess would comfort my restless soul.

Still waiting!

Hi Friends

My application has reached the MR stage and as directed by my VO I am sending application for my spouse to be added as dependent. Do I need to enclose check-list? If yes, then I need your help with point ‘16’ (‘Identity and Civil Status Documents’). We will enclose an Affidavit instead of my spouse’s ‘Birth Certificate’. Would it be fine?

There is another sub point about common – law partner. According to my understanding it is about live-in couples and not about married couples. Could you please let me know if my understanding is correct or incorrect?

Thanks

Still waiting!

Bro, Lets hope all the pending May/June/July cases gets cleared in a week or two. I have a 2 mths notice period in my current organization.Based on the feedbacks from forumites, not recommended to submit resignation till PPR request is in hand. So cant land before Sept/Oct.
@NDVO - give us time to reach and settle down before the cold winters. Listen to our sincere request.

Thank You everyone for the support and Good Luck :) :) :)

Hello,

VO asked me to pay RPRF without sending MR, does asking to pay RPRF mean that, for sure, they will grant PR visa in later stage ?

Above is the content of email I received from Warsaw VO as guidelines to add my spouse as accompanying dependent.

They asked in the mail to specify height and eye colour for my spouse, however they did not ask me to send them updated ‘Generic Form’ for me. Also they did not ask for updated ‘Additional Family Information Form’ for me either and all the forms asked by them are for my spouse only.

Could you please advise if I still need to enclose these two forms for myself along with my spouse’s application?

If yes, then I need your help with filling up some of the information in ‘Generic Form’. Both of us are working in different cities (none of us is living at my in-laws’ house) and I stayed at my in-laws' house for only a week. We are looking for job change and start living together though. Do I need to write my in-laws' address as my permanent address as that is the permanent address for my spouse? However I can get only a bank statement as the proof of my permanent address at my in-laws' house as my passport contains address of my parents’ house.

Quick help would be highly appreciated.

Best Regards

Guys, i am a 2014 FSW applicant and i received Canada Immigration Stamp in my PP in March 2015 this year.

My last step of landing is pending to get PR and i have timeline till Sep 2015.

Is there a way i can have this timeline to land extended?

Also, i have heard that for 2 people, you need to bring in Demand Draft of $16000 CAN and then deposit it in some bank there.

Note: i am on h1 in US and there's a possibility of we receiving an EAD as per new rules, so wondering if i can extend my plans to do canadian landing. ::) ::) ::)

No, you CANNOT extend your visa validity. You must land or you will have to start over completely, according to whatever rules are in place at the time.

When you land you must show proof of funds the same as when you applied. You do not need to actually bring cash or monetary instruments with you, and you don't need to deposit anything or open a bank account right away if you don't want to. Please note that if you do bring more than $10K worth of cash or cash equivalents (such as demand draft or traveller's cheques) with you when you cross the border or land at the airport you must declare it to the customs officer. (This is at immigration, before you go to do your landing paperwork, and it is applicable to every time you enter Canada, not just if you are doing a landing.)

You can maintain residence so long as you stay in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years. If you want to renew your H1B and continue working in the USA for a while, no problem. Go do your landing before your visa expires then return to the US and then go back to Canada whenever you want. Just make sure that on the 5-year anniversary of your landing, you have stayed in Canada for at least 2 years. That is exactly 2 years worth of days (730) and not one day less! Otherwise you risk losing PR.

Good luck.

Dear Admins/Experts,
I got PPR request on May 13th from NDVO and I work in Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.
In spite of my query to help me stamping in Riyadh, NDVO sent a standard PPR letter. And the status also updated-Decision Made.
I joined in Riyadh 4 months back and getting leaves were next to impossible, then I thought of sending my wife and kids to India with my passport but I got to know from sources and Indian embassy that it is Illegal. So I had no option rather than going back to India, by hook or crook.

One of my friend suggested me to drop an email to Riaydh Canada embassy, so I did and even I emailed NDVO- but thanks to Riyadh within 48 hours I got reply that I can submit my passports to their office through local VFS in Riyadh.
Thanks to Allah Almighty.... But will they do the stamping or will I be having any probs after decision has been made by CIC.
How far can this be successful, just need your advises. If they say NO and return my PP's then I am screwed!!
Thanks---Imran
