Seniors Kindly help and provide your suggestions,

Actually I m waiting for PPR. I applied in Aug 2014 and got TLU on 7th April 2015.

Now My wife is expecting. I have sent email to Embassy informing that she is expecting now & provide us the visa soon by sending PPR.

So, can this delay the process or there will be any issue due to pregnancy.
Kindly respond

Regards

CONGRATS KSS FOR DM.............HOPE YOU GET PPR TODAY ITSELF

Hi friends,

Just wanted to know....are there ppl who have got PPRs after they got DM in this May.

According to what I observe, there is no one who's got PPR if they got DM (before receiving PPR) in the month of May.

Same has happened with me as well. DM on May 15th...but no clue of PPR.

Guys pls say I am wrong. Hope it is not so and we all receive our share of happiness soon.

If you have sent them mail regarding your wifes pregnency then they will hold your ppr request till delivery. If at all they dont look at your mail now and send you ppr but if in the time frame of 28 days they will look at your mail and hold the visa till the birth of your child.
This is what i know someone else may have different view.Anyways Double congratulations for third line update and for your baby

With my limited knowledge:
1) Forex card is better to handle
2) Any amount, but will have to declare to port
3) Yes, DD is equivalent to cash
4) If you can consider opening account with Scotia Bank, it could be the better one.

Hope it helps

BEST MODE TO CARRY MONEY IS BANK TRANSFER as it is the safest .You just need to visit next day to activate account .

When you open account you will need to carry swift reciept for outward remittance plus banks confirmation that your funds in canada have arrived .

Dear Ceema.. do not worry.. everything will go good and if the job duties submitted by u are matching with those which are mentioned in the CIC website then, i don think you need to worry. Even you've mentioned that they have reached a long back and still you r in Second line..so nothing to worry dear.. you keep checking your ECAS daily and for sure you will receive your MR soon.. be happy and stay positive. we all will certainly remember you in our prayers and God is also there.., he wont leave u.. be happy.. :) :) :) :) :)...
This is why this forum is great. We can get useful information and opinion of expert members like you. thanks for the information and motivation dear. I am still positive. :) :)

Hi Friends

I am planning to land in Toronto June 1st week. Planning to carry 14K CAD.
Can someone advise what is the best form of carrying money (other than cash) to show that as POF at immigration as well.

Note - I do not want to open a Canadian bank account from India.

Can someone please share recent landing experience as well.

Thanks......
If not bank transfer it would be DD OR TRAVELLERS CHEQUE OR TRAVEL CARD

Very few people have landed with Travel card .

Travellers cheque has lot of hassles for e.g you want 14k and the vendor willhave max 500 denominations and you 20 plus and on these 20 plus you need to sign each separetly .Many banks have stopped giving this .Only Thomas cook can give you I guess

DD takes time to clear plus these days high volume drafts face hassles .I am not sure if every bank can give high volume DD check with bank

I mean to say if we send mail today then they might not look at it on the sameday and if they send the command to the mail section to issue PPR then the mailing department will issue ppr,and later if they look at the mail as said by vo that we will get a reply in 28 days for any query you know what i mean, i think you did understand what i mean to say

Dear Seniors,

Hope you are going excellent!

Thank you so much for your guidance

Warsaw office is allocated to us to process the application. Now i have to submit a processing fee of $550 CDN, & i have to make a DD for the said amount. But i have no idea in which whose favor i have to make it.Please guide me.

Thanks for your understanding.

An early reply on the above will be highly appreciable.

Yes got it mate. My wife is also pregnant and my consultant had initially suggested that it is not required to inform. but then i April we informed the Visa office with a doctors note stating the expected due date and also mentioned that it is our intention to land before delivery.

According to me if you had your medicals done before expecting then it would have been fine,it was not neccessary for you to inform because this will only delay the visa because i think they will not gonna issue visa unless you have your baby born and have her/his passport made stamped and then you land.
It only delays will not have any other concern on your application but the visa will be on hold till the birth of your child you cant say them like you prepare your food here and gonna eat it in canada, hope you underastand.Anyways congrats for your baby and your visa
