Hi Seniors,

What should be the best way to move money from India to Canada. Traveler Cheque /Draft/Forex Card
How much Cash should i carry?
Do i need to declare both Draft+Cash amount?
Any comments on the same line are welcome..

With my limited knowledge:
1) Forex card is better to handle
2) Any amount, but will have to declare to port
3) Yes, DD is equivalent to cash
4) If you can consider opening account with Scotia Bank, it could be the better one.

Please I need Urgent Help

iam may applicant waiting for mr from ndvo....i rec a mail from ndvo on 10 april to give a written explanation regarding the verification call they had made to my past employer...i had already replied them on 15 april explaining the whole thing with attached document required to prove my point....but till date haven't received any communication from there side....
what are the possibilities of my mr..and when can i expect it.

Is their any similar case who has given a written explanation to ndvo, hw much time will they take to reply to the explanation..

My second line updated on 30 march 2015 and same day i received a mail from VO regarding clarification of my job duties along with documentary evidence. My consultant forwarded the reply along with documentary proofs to VO on 6 April 2015, the same was received at NDVO on 7 April 2015. After that no verification call and no reply from ndvo. I am eagerly waiting for my MR. We can only wait and have patience.

Agree with Praswin. You need to provide specifically what issues did VO raise and what was your reply to address those issues? Without those details, people in this forum are even less equipped than yourself to understand and respond to your own query.

Most of the People here don't care about updating SS after getting PPR since they have met their goals.

NDVO is working in a haywire manner, with no sequence of applications. I have no additional documents but still waiting for PPR. I am seeing people from recent timelines Oct, Nov getting PPRs... This is absolutely not done NDVO...

S brother i am asking our frnds to update the SS because, if you compare the results others from NDVO, applicants whose 3rd line got updated till Apl 15th are getting their PPRs and with a difference of 33+ or - 3 days.. so i am also in the same assumption that my PPR is soon to come..

also brother you may receive ur may be in this week or in the first 3 days of next week if NDVO works the same way.. lets c.. just hope so brother..after this is what we can do now... just waiting with patience.

I am following this forum since long. But was little disappointed as my Second Line was not updated till 30.03.2015. But same day my second line got updated i.e. 30.03.2015 and same day my VO sent a mail regarding my job duties. He was not satisfied with my job duties. However he gave me a chance to reply regarding my job duties along with documentary evidence within 30 days. I replied and sent detailed description of my job duties from my employer. The same was received at New Delhi on 07.04.2015. After that there is no reply from VO. I am really worried about my case. I have tried my best to satisfy VO regarding my job duties. Now waiting waiting waiting :-[ :-[ Can seniors please advise what will be the outcome of my case. I will really appreciate your support. My time line is PER 11.12.2014 , SLU 30.03.2015 NOC 1111 , VO NDVO And also guide me to update my timeline on left side of the forum page. Thanks

By Gods Grace we have been granted PPR.

Please guide me in the next steps. Do I have to fill up some application in VFS and is there any other charges to be paid to CIC ?
If I opt for the VFS route how much do I have to pay for passport submission ?

Getting disheartened each day , no PPR so far. Sep 2 applicant and TLU on 14 april with India and US pcc. When would i get PPR?

Easier said than done.....but keep hope, it is on its way.

Guys its my time to share some good news

IT's 4th line update

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 4, 2014.

2. We started processing your application on March 10, 2015.

3. Medical results have been received.

4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.


My PPR mail will go to my CANADIAN Attorney and hopefully he already received it and will forward me the Golden PPR mail tonight.
