Why did u have to update the schedule A? Plus l let me know.. Additional docs does delay our case. I have heard 30 to60 days from last doc received.

in sch A and Question 8, I did not mention clearly as UNEMPLOYED and rather mentioned only as NONE as for the past 10 years my spouse did not work. I believe we have mention clearly as UNEMPLOYED or HOME MAKER.....30 days is too much to wait...but have no choice as of now....pray they keep my update on top and clear fast.....

Buddy, for my PCC I didnt turned to PSK, rather local Police Station . . . . . .

Tell them your problem and I am sure they will be helpful . . .

Thats the only way left . . . . .

If they cant, just email NDVO stating your problem . . . . .

Yesterday i have mailed to VO that my my wife count complete medicals with 30 days of time as she was 8month pregnant and we are expecting baby in July and i got below reply from VO, Now my concern is
1) once the born is born do we need to complete the medicals and send reports along with baby documents or 2)do we need to send only the new born documents, So that Vo will send new medical forms for all members.

-- a certified copy of your child's birth certificate along with its translation into English or French by a sworn translator;

I am in the same situation . My wife also pregnant and deliver waiting in July. And I am waiting for MR in June.
By the way, how did u contact to VO , regarding ur new born child? Did u send email after receiving MR? Or before? What else was requested in their previous email?

In my case, I requested them to delay my medicals as my wife was 1 month pregnant then and I had received MR. But NDVO insisted to carry out the procedure as mentioned in the MR mail.

Hmm that's unfortunate....Like i posted before, LVO allowed a deferral for the entire family for a similar case....

Ur Visa (for ur entire family) when finally issued will have validity only till one year from your Meds completed date bcos ur Meds will expire then...So ur looking at least a 8-9 month delay for completion of Medicals for ur wife and ur baby (and keep in mind u have to apply for baby's passport after birth, then send docs then only u will get baby's medicals)..and assume at least another 30 days after Medicals completed to get PPR...by the time u get Visa, u may have just days to land...Hope u understand what I'm trying to say....

So keep this in mind and plan accordingly...U have a long break in the process now...Research extensively on landing, settlement, etc so that you are ready then...Good luck!!.

Hello Friends

After waiting patiently for the entire visa process to complete, I had another wait in store for me.

I wanted to wait and explore onshore opportunities within my current company in India.
For this, I gave myself time till next year March and then plan the next move.

I was planning to land in Toronto in September this year with family and complete all the process like application for PR card etc.

But now it seems, my current organisation is gearing up to send me onshore as they have asked me to submit all the visa related information I have.
As of now I have been confirmed that it wont be a long term assignment and the client location will be in Montreal, Quebec.

Now from what I know, I cannot do my first landing in Quebec. Is this understanding correct?
I just want to confirm from this forum that should I do landing in Toronto first and apply PR card and SIN in Ontario state and then subsequently travel to client location in Montreal.
I need to provide this information in my organisation so that things can be planned accordingly.

Looking forward to suggestion/advie from this wonderful forum and forumites.

Hello Seniors,

As i recently got married, i wanted to add my wife to my application. In this regard i received an email requesting for additional documents of my wife. I have few queries related to those documents.

Below are the list of documents which were requested.

1. A letter explaining how your family composition has changed and requesting that your spouse to be added to your application
2. Updated IMM0008 Generic Application Form and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself to include your spouse
3. A completed Schedule A Background Declaration form, and an IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form completed and signed by your spouse
4. Processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
5. Notarized copy of the birth certificate of your spouse
6. Copies of experience and educational documents for your spouse
7. Copy of your spouse’s valid passport (s) both valid and expired.
8. Four recent passport-size photographs of your spouse according to the specifications
9. A copy of your marriage certificate and marriage registration
10. A few marriage photographs depicting pre and post wedding and also of the ceremony itself.
11. Police clearance certificates for any country in which your spouse has resided in for 6 months or more since turning 18 (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/index.asp for more information)
12. The Right of Permanent Residence Fee will need to be paid before a visa can be issued to your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
13. If you applied as a Skilled Worker - updated proof of funds for number of family members to now include added spouse
