Hi Everyone,

Has someone completed medicals from Max Hospital (New Delhi or any other branch)?

I ask this because I recently completed my medicals from Max and they issued me 2 receipts, one was for Canada Immigration and another receipt (of Rs. 150) was for "registration charges" I believe they charged this Rs. 150 since I was a first time visitor to Max.

The question is: do I need to send both these receipts to WVO?

Cheers,
LazyBoy

Only send the receipt for the tests conducted for Canada Immigration. No need to send the receipt for Registration.

Thanks Jaxon911...

I agree, we do have to carry funds to support ourselves but does it mean they will not allow Indian bank statements/ATM (Debit) cards issues by Indian banks. In the same website they say These funds could be in the form of:

1. cash,
2. securities in bearer form (for example, stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills), or
3. bankers' drafts, cheques, travellers' cheques or money orders.

can't we use the funds in our Indian bank and withdraw them when ever requested in Canada? These are my funds and I have complete right to withdraw them (No Loan from anywhere).

I reason I would like to leave them in Indian bank is that the interest rate that we get in Indian banks is higher than that we get in Canada. My money will be growing in a faster.

Oh yes, in that sense, bank statements should do the job. I used bank statement to provide PoF during visa app process so I believe bank stamped statements with name and address on it should be acceptable.

This section on CIC website is bit confusing and I'd say it's still best to contact CBSA officer and verify if bank statements are ok.

Just like you guys, I too don't want to transfer funds to Canada or convert money to Canadian dollar straightaway. My trip is going to be a short one so I would prefer not to transfer funds to Canada until I move there.

But MDV,

The site says, "If you have more than 10,000, you need to declare". If we don't have more than 10,000 why should we declare. As an example, I would like to land in Canada and stay for a maximum period of 2 months during which I get my PR card and return to India. If I take 5000 which would be sufficient for me during my stay in Canada, why would I need to declare to the officer

I understand your point. If more than 10,000 one has to report and what funds he is carrying he has to also report .

Since you want to carry less than the declared fund in your application .I would suggest you to go through this link and call them on the numbers to confirm

http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/bsf5052-eng.html

You can also call us free of charge throughout Canada at 1-800-461-9999. If you are calling from outside of Canada, you can contact us at 204-983-3500 or 506-636-5064.

You also try confirming this by speaking CIC call center.

Note CBSA officials will only follow what CIC has asked them to so speaking to CIC call center would be the best option.

Hi, i did my medical at max pancheel.
they submit the results online. you just need to send immigration receipt which has the stamp of the doctor.
they upload it in 5-6 working days. if they find an issue then they'll call you for additional tests.
if all is well the you'll get the 3rd line update in 10-15 days.

Hi Guys,
For me the third line updated in March first week.
I have sent my marriage updates and marriage certificates with medical reports.
I didn't get any update after that. What would be the next update and what would be the approximate timeline for that.
Please advice.

Anybody has any idea ??
