Dear Experts,

My nationality doesn't need a visa to enter Canada so that I can enter without visa.
With this case, could anyone answer my question?

My family are living in Canada with student/temporary resident visa.

]I am going to Toronto with COPR soon to land. But I do not want to process twice, myself and with family.
So I enter Canada as a visitor, not mentioning COPR/Permanent resident Card then I want to go to border with family to land in.
Will there be any issue for doing like this? Is it OK officer happen to find out I have a COPR, after not mentioning at airport?

Thanks.

I think u shud visit it via border, call your family there and then enter together.
Your passport is already in their systems, so they know you have COPR, dont try to fool around with the authority

Any tips or key points to keep in mind before I go for medicals?

Hello All,

I landed in Toronto. My landing experience is very good.First i have gone through the customs and later directed to immigration. I carried only CAD $1000 and rest of them in India bank account. I have taken latest bank statement (1 days in advance) and FD copy from the bank for the remaining POF. I told the officer i have only 1K Cash. He didn't ask any question. He asked me to write Canadian address in a slip. That's all. He congratulated me and informed i will get PR in 6 to 8 weeks. Then i went to SIN counter to apply for SIN. My suggestion is not to land in mid night. If you land in midnight, then you have to apply SIN outside which might have difficulty as a new immigrants. They issued SIN number within 15 minutes after i submit the SIN form. Then collected couple of pamphlets and welcome kit from new immigrants cell. I came out to collect my check in baggage.
The entire process took 3 hours.I hope this helps. I welcome if you have any questions.

Hi All....Got passport request mail..thanks to all the forum members for all the help.

But worries still not over...my spouse is expecting in next 6 months. V are having second thoughts on having the baby in canada, as I may get company transfer but that may take 4-5 months to process. So thinking to hav the baby in India. I did inform NDVO regarding pregnancy but given there is quite a bit time left in due date they hav issued PPR.

Plz suggest wuld it b an issue if i mail them requesting to delay passport stamping so the baby can be added, and wat wuld b the process fr that.

Hi GK111, first of all congratulations, could you please let me know when did you finish your medicals?

No alcohol for a week before medicals. Drink a lot of water on the day of the medical in the morning and don't get stressed.

Thanks Satyajit. I am currently being diagnosed with kidney stones. Will it have any impact on tests during my medical.?
I think the doctors are not looking for issues like this but any opinion/suggestion would be welcome.

Guys, I didn't get answer for below query in this forum, pls answer now.

I need to pay $1340 to NDVO. I checked CIC website its only multiple of 490. Unable to edit amount in online payment..

1) Pls some expert suggest equivalent INR amount to take DD for $1340 ($550+150+150+490).

2) I think if we r paying in INR its Canadian high commission, payable @ newdelhi - YES OR NO.
If in $ its Receiver general for Canada, payable @ newdelhi - YES OR NO

3) How to pay $1340 in online at CIC website.

U can ONLY pay RPRF Fees (490$ or multiples of it) online...rest u have to take a DD in CAD...payable to the Receiver General for Canada...

You have to drink lots of water because if there are RBCs in the urine, you have to do the test again, if again there are RBCs you have to do blood test.
I did the Urine test again because i didn't drink lots of water so there was RBC in the urine.
