1) Photos:
a) They have asked for 2 photos. Will these be the ones put on the visa/COPR or will they use the ones we had sent at the time of application?
b) In the photo specs, it is written "The photographer may use a stamp or handwrite this information (name and complete address of the photo studio and the date the photo was taken). Does it mean the photographer will have to write this information ? I was under the impression that we have to write it. This is a bit confusing.
{Avinir}: Recent photos needs to be sent. Get it clicked. Write the date of photo taken and write name, address, phone number of the photo studio on the back side. Space on photo will be small. Usually studio has small rubber stamp which they can stamp on back of the photo. or ask photographers to write the information.
One photo will be pasted on COPR and another copy of COPR will be without photo, There will be no photo on visa. so remaining photo will be kept in the envelope which needs to be taken along.
2) Passport Request Letter:
a) On the forum, people who got PPR have written that their PPR mail had an attachment which, I think, is for information table (Family name, given name, DOB, Passport No, its expiry date, Height, eye colour, contact telephone number). However, the mail which I have got has not attachment. Rather, they have pasted a sort of image within the mail itself. (I think same would have been the case with you). Does it imply that I will have to paste this image/copy the table on a plain MS word document, fill the information and take its print-out? I obviously do not know how that attachment looks like. If it has some logo, Govt. of Canada, etc. written on it, these things, of course, would not be there on the plain word document. Will it be an issue? Some people
have suggested to fill the information in the PPR email print-out itself with black pen, in addition to the information on a separate page. But the table in the email print-out is so small that nothing can be written on it. What's your take on this? Also, what to do with the columns which are not relevant for us, e.g. dependents, spouse, etc. information is not relevant for me. Do we leave them blank or write "NA" in them?
b) Do we have to put signature and date on the print-out document which has the above information ?
{Avinir}: Give me your mail ID, I will send the format. I have created on excel. No CIC logo nothing, not required any signatures.
3) Do we have to submit old, expired passports also alongwith the valid one? And photocopies of all of them? Need to be Notarized or not?
{Avinir}: Yes, Old original passport needs to be attached with current. No need to take copies of old passport. Attestation copies are not required.
4) At the end of the mail it is written "Please include a copy of this letter along with your submission". It means the print-out of the PPR email, right ?
{Avinir}: Yes
5) Any other relevant information you would like to share. Some people said we have to fill out some forms at VFS at the time of submitting passport. Any info on that? What kind of forms would they be?
{Avinir}: No other documents or forms required to fill, (Original Passports,Two copies of passport, Print of PPR mail, Two Photos, Information Sheet thats it.
Awaiting your reply.
