I just came from sbi nri branch in Ahmedabad, I went there to inquire about my dd, I asked them if dd is encashed or not, they said we don't know status of dd...we don't have any clue how to check it...

A draft is usually encashed after Medicals and before DM.
You need to check with your bank if it was presented for withdrawl.

Do one thing, go there on Saturday. And request the guy as gently as you can for number of times at a single moment creating a story.
One of my friend has received the details from the same branch in Ahmedabad. And even after that he denies then ask him to reply in writing that he cannot give this detail to you. I am pretty sure that you can get the info from there.

Hey bro.

I understand you pain. This delay is for sure not an usual trend for all applicants.
That said, each application poses it own set of complexities for the VO and they may need to run a few extra steps or a second level check.
We have seen a few folks who's GCMS showed that the files we simply eating dust in Registry for months.

We dont know how the VO functions but raise GCMS to get more clarity on why this delay.

Finally, Never are we out of the race till we are told so. Delay do happen and they dont mean negative results.
Hang on and at best raise GCMS.

Just trying to understand VO starts criminality and security immediately after medicals so how come they are still waiting in my case..strange isn't it? Also security shows blank for me and my wife...god knows whts happening...do u think his is processing error or something else?

Agree with Jedy.

For clarity sake, This is how a Draft works.

When you request a draft, the money is immediately debited from your account and draft issued.
This money is now in the bank's own account (Omnibus account).
When the draft is presented, this account gets debited and payment is released.

Mostly the front end staff at bank arent aware of this cycle and thus dont know where to check.

Usually, a request is sent to an inter bank team who have access to view details on these accounts and basis the draft number they can locate when was it presented and released to the beneficiary.

I suppose, now you know more than the SBI dummies. Speak to the BM there, he should be able to help.

NOC 2131- Civil ( applied from INDIA)
Sep 8th Application Received
Dec 24th PER
2nd line update of Feb 13th
March 11th MR
3rd line got updated on 24th march e-medicals uploaded on 19th March
Reached DD, FBI and Indian PCC and medicals on March 26th
DD cashed on 30th March- ( received DD payment confirmation email on 7th April from NDVO)
3rd line got updated on 24th march
PPR on May 07
