Hello friends, your help and support are highly needed and appreciated to throw some lights on the below as I'm getting nervous and worried:

I submitted two applications on Nov 14th and got PERs for both applications on 5-Feb. the ECAS shows only 1 line for each application. since the PER, I got no news from CIO. My last call with them, the just informed that the files are transferred to CPC-Ottawa office to be processed.

I've couple of questions:

- In case of refusal, will there be any notification on ECAS? Does the 2nd line occur even with refusal?
- What are the chances of refusal at this stage and does the CIO communicate with the applicants or they just send the application back?
- Is there any way yo check the exact status and the estimated time to get the MR?

Appreciate your support, I'm really very much bored of this wait game.

Regards,
Ahmed

Hi MDV,

Although I do not have much idea on it. But, I assume travellers cheque could be heavy on your pocket (bank fees). You may consider opening account with Scotia bank.

Hope you are gearing up for landing, are you done with ticketing?

Well I have investigated on this matter

My findings are

1. Travellers cheque are now stopped by many banks only few offer it .

2. DD OR Travellers cheque or bank transfer is all the same all will undergo CAD conversion on the rate.

3. Scotia bank has a condition which is you cant open the bank account in 15 business days (which i think is 3 weeks) .This impacts people who have booked ticket say 1 month prior and still waiting for stamping and know that visa stamping will take some time .

Ticket prices will be high if you want to go early and you want to book ticket after getting visa

4.Icici bank looks good as they don't have such 15 condition and you can draw money as soon asap .
http://www.icicibank.ca/personal/crossborderbanking/hellocanada.page
Only worrying thing about ICICI is that they will give statement in courier and for the courier to reach us will take 5 working days and you must be knowing
Bangalore courier boys are not worth trusting as they don't deliver most of the times.

Also from ICICI customer service it is known that more than 50 people have travelled using ICICI statement

5.There is HSBC as well but I have not explored .

6.There is a option of buying DD as well if opening account takes time and doesn't sit well in your travel plans.

I would like to have debate on this with forum mates /my frns ;D

Hi "anujshah14", I have sent PM, please check it.

Hi Senior Guys,

Require your help.

I had applied in FSW 2014 under NOC 0013 - Senior Managers - Financial, Communications and other business services

My application got rejected.

But when I went thru the Rejection letter I found that they have mentioned NOC 0013 - Purchase Manager and I presume they must have referred the main duties of Purchase Manager whose NOC is 0113.

You may also refer the below link:

0013 - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0013
0113 - http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2011/QuickSearch.aspx?val65=0113

Could there be a confusion from their part?

What to do next? Can i send a letter or email informing them and request them to re-consider my application.

Please Please Help...

Regards
Anthony

Hi Experts,
Needs URGENT help
My time line :
application filed : 14-05-2014
PER : 03-09-2014
second line : 27-10-2014
But No Verification , NO MR so far. Requested for GCMS on 17-04-2015.

My concern :

I have used my relatives PR (in Canada) for getting adaptability points. But they have changed their residence in Canada after I got my PER. But I have not informed this to NDVO. Is this causing delay in my processing? Pls share views.
Thanks & Regards,
Toms

Your GCMS shoould reflect this clearly buddy, if VO has given you the points for adaptability then it should be fine. Have they changed their contact details also coz your relative might get a call but physical verification is unlikely. I would suggest to wait till your GCMS comes and then you can raise CSE to inform NDVO about the same.

Hi Anthony,

0013 can never be Purchase Manager. It is a mistake from THEIR side. You draft a mail to them immediately highlighting the mistake from their side.

I am sure you will get a positive reponse from them

Hey guys,

Just joined this wonderful forum. My timeline is as follows :

PER recd : Dec 8, 2014

Please share if any of you friends have a similar timeline. NDVO seems to have started sending MRs and PPRs since a past few days. Have any of you received DM / PPR....or if you could guide on the progress of similar cases...............this wait is killing ???

Quite similar timelines as mine. Eagerly waiting for dm or ppr mail from ndvo. Stay positive and pray .

Hi Guy

Need your opinion ..

3rd line ( Medical received) updated on 08th April and I am waiting for DM / PPR . As I have to serve 3 months' notice period in my company . Does it make sense to resign now or wait for my DM / PPR ( After background / Security checks are complete) and then resign ... I am unable to take a call ... Appreciate your feedback /suggestions

Time line
NOC 2132 .
Application date 10th Sept .
PER ... 17th Dec
MR / 3rd line update --- 08th April 2015

Thanks for the support

I would suggest to hang on for a while before u resign, purely coz we have got ppl who got PPR in 15 days after medicals and ppl waiting from months also for PPR (look at my timeline). Its almost sure that we will get our PPR but when nobody can surely say. Its just my suggestion...all the best !!
