Which Travellers cheque from India would be accepted at POE?

Anybody bought any travellers cheque ? Any good recommended banks?

Following the earthquake in Nepal, VFS office in Nepal has been significantly affected and they are currently closed until further notice and seems it will take some week to reopen the office. I have remaining 24 days to submit Passport to NDVO. I had made CSE and no notification till now.
What are the other alternative means for sending passport to India? What shud I do?

PER recd : Dec 8, 2014
MR recd : March 17, 2015
Third Line Update (medicals recd): March 27, 2015
RPRF DD cleared on : April 10, 2015
DM / PPR : Awaited
Visa Office : NDVO

Please share if any of you friends have a similar timeline. NDVO seems to have started sending MRs and PPRs since a past few days. Have any of you received DM / PPR....or if you could guide on the progress of similar cases...............this wait is killing ???

Generally, any convertible hard currency should be fine

Hi MDV,

Although I do not have much idea on it. But, I assume travellers cheque could be heavy on your pocket (bank fees). You may consider opening account with Scotia bank.

Hope you are gearing up for landing, are you done with ticketing?

I have my last update on 30th Qct 2014 then i had a baby in January about which I had informed NDVO. They told me send my baby birth certificate,passport,financial support documents and the forms of inclusion of the baby. The above documents I have sent to NDVO and it reached 21st April 2015 so when can I expect a Medical request from NDVO.

Hi Friends Yesterday i submitted passports through vfs.

My timelines :

App recvd - june 25th 2014

PER - oct 22nd 2014

New born Baby Details sent - Nov 3rd 2014

Process started - dec 18th 2014

Medical request - Jan 2nd 2015 (Including baby)

Medicals completed - jan 8th 2015

Third line updated - jan 14th 2015

Baby fee paid - March 16th 2015

DM/PPR - Aprl 29th 2015

Passports submitted - May 4th 2015

Brother it is very bad that you got DM yesterday but you didn't update/inform in FORUM, but now you have query so you are telling.
And if possible or if you trust people in forum then update your profile, you need help then help others also.

Congrats who received PPR. I have a question: I checked my status yesterday and 4th line updated to DM, but i have not received PPR. I worry about this Sad Sad. What is the meaning of this situation?
