New Passport is sufficient. no need to send the old one unless they both are stapled

I am not contradicting with SK but I read on this forum only that its advisable to send both passports...I am also looking for concrete answer for the same !!

2nd line means your file is now been reviewed by the visa officer if he/she finds all is good will send MR or else can start your background verification check which takes more time

1. MR depends on how quickly your background checks gets over. This may take from 2 days to 2-3 months.
2. Second line update means IO has started reviewing your application.

Need your help URGENT !!!!!! ???

I am applicant from Saudi Arabia and got email from CIC that my visas will be stamped from VAC London , means I have to provide my passport to London VFS office for visa stamping, please help me how could I do it , how to pay fees to London VFS office, how to receive back the passports and similar information. Please send me reply via message as mostly the information got lost in chains of replies at the forum.

3rd line ( Medical received) updated on 08th April and I am waiting for DM / PPR . As I have to serve 3 months’ notice period in my company . Does it make sense to resign now or wait for my DM / PPR ( After background / Security checks are complete) and then resign ... I am unable to take a call … Appreciate your feedback /suggestions
