the receipt contains only the name of the payer and approved payment. it doesnt contain uci or any other details , should i fill it or not ?

Take the print out fill the app details like uci ,contact ,dob then send the hard copy to NDVO office by courier.

You can also send the scanned copy of the print out with filled details by CSE

What I understood is NDVO is working on student visa's for may intake, so we can expect DM/PPRs only mid to late May once they have almost completed student visas....The same happened in January as well. They started issuing DM/PPRs only last week of January after the student visas for January intake...

May be ... As per my knowledge Canada has Jan and sept intake for students mostly so really can't say

You can give the address of a friend/ relative in Canada for PR Card receipt...

You can also give the address of a guest house that provides PR Card forwarding services- see here

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/landing-in-canada-all-you-need-to-know-t36735.0.html;msg4252691#msg4252691

Some ppl have also reported setting up an UPS Mailbox with auto-forwarding and giving the mailbox address as the Address for PR Card...

However, if you don't have ur PR Card and ur outside the country, then for entering the 2nd time you need to apply for a PR Travel Document..This is explained here->

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/travel-document/index.asp

If you have US Visa, then you can enter Canada through the US-Canada border in a private car using ur COPR only (no PRTD required)

Hope this helps!! :)

When we did our meds in april, there were a couple of students at the hospital for their meds as well and they were enrolled in university of Toronto so I guess May intake is not very unlikely.

Hello everyone...
I added spouse to my file, she has already student visa and UCI number, so PR process will be seen in her uci as well?
How much time will it take for them to add spouse in my application?

Anuj Shah

You keep on asking the same question, even though others have replied to it already.:(...To my knowledge, since ur the Main Applicant, PR Process can only be seen with ur UCI, and not in ur wife's UCI..

Thanks Buddy.
I submitted my FBI PCC on 16th Mar 2015. It is 43 days since then . Though Medical were received by them in Dec. But FBI PCC submitted in Mar. Should I really go for GCMS or should I wait. I am working in the same company from last 14 years.

U should wait....They have assigned a Due Date to ur Application....I think based on ur Last document submission (in ur case, FBI PCC Submission), they should look at ur file on that Due Date and finalize on the file...so long as Criminality and Security Checks are clear...they don't take much time..

For me I got DM exactly 60 days after Meds Upload.....I came to know looking at Visa Issued Dates....Possibly the Due Date was set as that.. :)

Hi All,
I sent my FBI PCC to the Canadian High commission on 8th April. But still i have not got any updates.
All of my document were sent in past and i was waiting for the FBI PCC.
Now I came to know that i should get a passport submission request.
Any idea how much time they take?

Thanks,
Reyansh

I suggest you to edit it in Adobe reader by filling your all necessary details and then save as JPEG.
Send both hard copy as well JPEG by email to NDVO.
It will reduce time and human error.

Thank you sir for your kind advice .....vl proceed with old passport stamping

raj3264 | get stamping first on old PP
You still have time before PP expires, so both options are open for you

1. either can renew and send the new copies to VO at the time for PP request
2. or get visa stamping on the same old PP and once here you can renew it from indian embassay.

I had the same situation, didn't renewed my daughter's got the stamping, landed here, and now i will proceed for her renewal.

thnx a lot mate
extremely helpful
but just to be doubly sure , the friends address i give can receive my PR card and courier it to me ?? that is ok to do ?
and yes i have a valid US visa too , but how can i use my copr the second time , if i re enter from us canadian border since that is only one time use?

Yess that is ok to do...Many have done it without any issues..just use a reputable courier service :)

No COPR is not one-time use...it's a document that's to be retained very carefully- it's even required as and when u apply for citizenship...:O

U have got 2 copies of COPR right?...At the time of 1st landing, Officer will take the one that has photo, and the other copy will be returned to you...u can use this copy to re-enter from the US-Canadian border...
