Hi guys,

I've been waiting for my second line for some time now, but I've got accepted by an University in Toronto to start studying in September. I'm thinking about applying for a Student Visa in case my PR takes too long.

My question is: if I apply for a Student Visa, will it affect in anyway my PR application? Are there any risks?

Odd situation, I know, but please help me to shed a light on the matter.

Dear Heck,
Please share your timelines. You can write a letter and post to NDVO directly and mention your situation that you have got the acceptance from University of Toronto.

If you are at 3rd Line stage than request for PPR.
Or If you awaiting 2nd Line then go for up front medical , pay RPRF and send E-medical information sheet, RPRF, Letter from university and your application for expediting the PR.

Above process was followed by forum member and he has got mapple leaf stamped.
You can update your timelines by clicking profile -> Forum Profile Information. so that people can guide you accordingly.

Thats true man and I wish every one a speedy PR... its just that NDVO is so unpredictable that it doesnot leave any scope to plan things like when should we look out for Job... if we have to go back to our home town and stay with parents for a few days before we leave or when to inform our manager that we can travel now and things like that.. there is no visibility at all... I just hope that NDVO listen to our prayers and start expediting on things...
