Hi Friends,

I have got the Visa and CPR today. See my timelines at left.
However, I have one question->
On Stamped visa(my spouse), her Given Name is blank and Surname is filed. But on her passport, Surname is blank and only Given name is printed. Will that be an issue?
Should I inform them about the correction? Or is it OK?

As per CIC rules, if any applicant does not have a surname or the entire name is entered in Given name field in the passport, the given name is filled in the Surname field and the given name field is left blank.

It is not an error and will not cause any problem. You can check the link below for further understanding.

Wish to update that i have received my passports with visa today.


OUT OF CURIOSITY CHECKED MY ECAS AND IT SAYS CANNOT IDENTIFY YOUR STATUS WITH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED WHEREAS IT WAS SHOWING DECISION MADE IN 1ST WEEK OF APRIL.

CAN OTHER FOURAMITES WHO HAVE RECEIVED VISAS CHECK THEIR ECAS AND REPORT WHAT THEY SEE IMMEDIATELY

My Visa office is New Delhi (NDVO) and I have completed my Medicals/RPRF.
I am expecting Passport request for Visa Stamping at New Delhi Visa Office but currently I am in Canada on temp work visa.
How Can I complete my visa stamping in Canada itself instead of travelling back to India for visa stamping?

What happen if the VO written in the application was not correct?

Please advise.
