Hello everyone.

Finally got an email from NDVO to submit the passports to them. Earlier i had received the email from CPC, Ottawa and as per advise from this forum sent them an email to transfer it to NDVO since we live in India. They took almost 12-13 days but I did receive the email from NDVO.

Now I plan to submit the passports to VFS. I have following queries:
- Is the principal applicant required to be present to submit the passports or any other accompanying family member submit the passports ?
- Do i go personally go and collect the passports after VFS receives them from NDVO or do they have an option of couriering it to my home address.
- Any other particular details I should take care of ?

Hi,
What kind of documents were requested by VO even after third line?

NDVO asked for Karunya's new passport as his old passport is getting expired on 27th Sept 2015.

1. While our medicals are valid till jan 10 2016, if pp gets expired in Sept 2015, we need to travel before sept
2. VISA is not transferable to new passport
(3. Less than 6 months PP or VISA is not allowed for traveling.)

These are the disadvantages so do you want us to go ahead with VISA stamping on old PP or will you send the new one she asked.
We opted to send the new one.

the problem is I have already submitted the passport. Need some help

1) does it mean all 3 of us have to enter Canada before the passport /visa expiry in sep?

2) is there any way of extending the visa of my son using his new passport?

Any inputs suggestions are welcome.

I am also sailing in the same boat, I am the spouse of the main applicant, our dates are as follows. Application Sent: 03-Jul-11 Application Received: 09-Jul-14 PER Received: 05-Nov-14 Medical Requested: 10-Jan-15 Medical Done: 22-Jan-15 Medical Sent: 29-Jan-15 Medical Received: 30-Jan-15 Received call from NDVO on 09-Mar-15, asking for renewed passport. Additional Documents Sent to NDVO: 19-Mar-15 Additional Documents Received at NDVO: 20-Mar-15

My passport expires on Sept 2015 (Dependent Spouse), On 9th Mar 2015 we received a call from NDVO asking us if we wanted to be issued PPR or if we wanted to extend my (Dependent Spouse) passport. We asked the lady on the phone (NDVO) if she can send the PPR and once the passport (OLD) is stamped with Visa we could transfer it to the new passport. She said this is not possible. Options she gave us are as follows.

1. Stamp Visa valid upto Sept 2015, even though our Medicals are valid till Feb 2016.
2. Put the application on hold, I extend my passport, send the notaried new passport copies (This case we will get Visa valid upto Feb 2016 as our medicals are valid upto Feb 2016).
3. Sending the existing (OLD) Passport and later extending the passport - NOT POSSIBLE.

We opted option 2 and send the renewed passport copies, now waiting waiting waiting.... Also, we emailed NDVO on 30th Mar 2015.


I, Main Applicant had filed my application for Immigration to Canada under the FSW Program Category with the Citizenship & Immigration Canada. My application has been assessed and been recommended for further assessment with the File number: *******. Given below are my identification details:

While my passport is valid till 16th December 2023 and my spouse’s passport expires on 27th September 2015, I have received a phone call from your kind office on 09th March 2015, enquiring if we want visa stamping on existing passports (Spouse, which will expire on 27th September 2015) or if we are willing to send the renewed passport (Spouse).

We opted to send a new renewed passport (Spouse) and posted the copy of the same on 19th March 2015 through Blue Dart (Courier) bearing Waybill No : *******. These documents were received at your office on 20th March 2015 09:05 AM (As per Blue Dart status tracking).

I kindly request you to let me know the status of my application.

For this email we received an email from NDVO as below


This is in response to your recent enquiry to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission in New Delhi.

We have received the requested information/documents (Copy of passport for Spouse) and your application is currently awaiting a review by a visa officer.

At this point there is no action required on your part. Please be assured that as soon as the review is complete, the next steps in the processing of this application will be determined and you will be advised accordingly.
