Medical results have been received. (med's done on 19 nov 2014)
A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. (3 weeks ago I paid the residence fee)

And from today I own a passport with VISA on it.

You haven't done anything wrong exactly, but you are required to inform the VO of any changes in family composition. After you inform the VO, you are going to have to submit the same documents and updated forms and fees regardless of when you inform them. They extended processing time for the VO to account for the changes will be the same no matter when you tell them. You might as well tell them sooner rather than later. In fact if I were the VO, I would wonder why you waited so long to inform about it.

A few things to note:

It doesn't matter whether your wife had her own FSW application before you married, you will still need to add her to your application just as anyone else who got married whose wife didn't have her own FSW application. And if your wife wishes to keep her application active, she would also have to contact the VO to add you to her application. That means both of you will need to send updated forms and documents, and will have to pay the CAD$550 application fee for the spouse (both of you, for both applications), each of you will have to have POF for a family of 2 instead of 1, etc. Just because you both have applications doesn't mean you don't have to duplicate the work and fees. Each application stands on its own and is entirely unrelated. However, eventually you will be asked to cancel one of the applications and only the other will be processed to completion. You can save money and trouble by withdrawing one now, but you run the risk that the one remaining application will not be successful.

Hello Friends,

I am NDVO May applicant, got my visa stamped from New York Visa Office as I am in USA nowadays.

I have an ongoing project assignment in USA, leaving it in middle is not an option for me. However to persist my PR status till I can move to Canada, I am planning to complete all PR Landing process next month.

I am planning to fly to Canada from USA for 3-4 days with my Spouse and then willing to fly back to USA after completing the PR card and SIN process. Also, I am planning to come back alone leaving my dependent(spouse) in Canada.

Please suggest, Is this possible, Any issues if I execute the plan discussed above. Are 3-4 days enough to complete all post landing process ?

I need a little help here.. I got the MR today and when I am trying to get an appointment at the designated panel physician at the nearby city, they don't have an appointment available till June.
But as per instructions, we need to complete ME within next 30days...

Flying out to another city will be very expensive. Do we have a option of getting an extension on the date of ME?

What are my options here?

Good day everyone, I'm just curious I received my PPR last april 13, 2015, while currently, I'm still to receive my DM on ECAS. Contrary with the norm that I've been reading here in the forum that everybody received their DM and currently waiting for their PPR. Is there anything to worry about?

This is a completely diff situation. You can write to VO requesting for extension as you have a valid reason. However do keep in mind that this will delay your process

I have got my ppr and send my passport for stamping.

Few questions
1. My son's passport is valid till early September. Is it mandatory for him to enter the country before his passport expires. Is there any way he can get his new passport here in India and use the visa on his expired passport. Need inputs.

2. My original plan was to do a short trip to Canada, initiate my PR card process and come back to India. Settle everything in India and go with family in my 2nd trip. But I have seen suggestions in the forum against this short visit. Ppl say it may impact the PR if the immigration at Canada come to know that I have come for a short stay.
