Morning all,
I checked e-Cas yesterday (21 April, 2015) and found a second line stating " We have started processing your application on 16th April, 2015"
Please:
1) what does that mean or what can it imply to mean for me as regards the permanent resident?
2) What is the next step I should be expecting?
3) When do i expect to do the next step?

Thanks and I do hope I get a response

Hi Seniors,

Since I am the principal applicant, if I land ahead of my family will I need to show proof of Income for the entire family or just myself? I do plan to return for my family the following month.

Thanks

Hello friends,

I have been a silent reader of this great forum and i most thank you all for your love in this lovely forum

Please i need your help.

My application has not been straight forward as me and my fianc'e applied for 2014 FSW and luckily both application receive PER. But now we are married. I married since December last year but yet to tell Accra Visa office about my marriage

We have not told AVO about our marriage because they asked for more doc in regards to my own application since they have started processing mine which i provided to them

Now I have done my medical and also sent a bank draft for the RPRF and also updated schedule A form last month but yet to tell AVO that i am married. I am actually waiting till they ask for my passport before i tell them about our marriage

1)Do you think this is good thing to do or i should tell me now that i am married before they request for passport?

2)Is there any possibility of refusal even after medical?

3)My wife is still in Nigeria while am in UK, would that affect anything?

I will really appreciate your help here

Thank you

App recv: 12th June 2014
Per : 11th Oct 2014
More Doc requested and sent : 16th Feb 2015
Medical recd: 17th March 2015
Medical done : 24th March 2015

You haven't done anything wrong exactly, but you are required to inform the VO of any changes in family composition. After you inform the VO, you are going to have to submit the same documents and updated forms and fees regardless of when you inform them. They extended processing time for the VO to account for the changes will be the same no matter when you tell them. You might as well tell them sooner rather than later. In fact if I were the VO, I would wonder why you waited so long to inform about it.

A few things to note:

It doesn't matter whether your wife had her own FSW application before you married, you will still need to add her to your application just as anyone else who got married whose wife didn't have her own FSW application. And if your wife wishes to keep her application active, she would also have to contact the VO to add you to her application. That means both of you will need to send updated forms and documents, and will have to pay the CAD$550 application fee for the spouse (both of you, for both applications), each of you will have to have POF for a family of 2 instead of 1, etc. Just because you both have applications doesn't mean you don't have to duplicate the work and fees. Each application stands on its own and is entirely unrelated. However, eventually you will be asked to cancel one of the applications and only the other will be processed to completion. You can save money and trouble by withdrawing one now, but you run the risk that the one remaining application will not be successful.

Good luck.

How much cash in CAD we can take from India to Canada?

You can take as much cash as you want, but if the total value of cash and cash equivalents (like traveler's cheeques) you are carrying exceeds CAD$10,000 you must declare it.

Example: You are carrying CAD$5,000 in cash, CAD$4,000 worth of USD-denominated traveler's cheques and CAD$1,001 worth of INR. Total value=CAD$10,001. You must declare it.
