+1(514) 937-9445 or Toll-free (Canada & US) +1 (888) 947-9445
Pls suggest. 3rd line updated for me.

I've included my spouse & children in application, but they r not accompanying.. Thought to sponsor them after landing.

But if I am trying to include them now.

Whether I need to pay for spouse $550 (Not paid at CIC stage) + 490 rprf.
And only 550 for each children.
With generic form changing to accompanying. Is it OK???

Wat r all d implications if I land & sponsor them. Is it easy process, I knew processing time 16months.

Hi guys....
Today NDVO official made a verification call to my previous company. It didnt go well coz she asked about my employment duration to the lady who attended the call. She said she has to check my files to answer that. Official in a rough voice asked her how come she doesn't knw bout the details of an ex- employee. She said she'd call back after somtime. and never called again.
Meanwhile there was a missed call alert in my mobile and i saw tht in the evening only. Soon i called back to that number. A lady attended and i said tht i got a call from this number. She asked my name and i answered and she said tht she s from high commision canada and would like to verify some basic stuffs related to my application. She asked bout my passport number, expiry date, date of birth and address. She also asked whether i have the passport wth me. I said i dont have that wth me ryt now,its in ma home. She reconfirmed that ive the passport wth me @ home. I asked about my file status but she said tht she can't say those thngs......
Also my company does not have ISO certification. Internal auditing for tht certification is under process. Told her this when she asked about the iso to tht office lady.

keeping my fingers crossed

Dear Friends and Seniors,

I sent Nepalese PCC of myself and my wife along with my wife's PCC from another country where she studied before while filing application during Sept 2014. If WVO asks for fresh PCC of myself and my wife in MR email, then does it mean that we should get her foreign PCC too again or is it only fresh Nepalese PCC (She hasn't visited that country again after we filed the application to CIC)??

I am yet to get MR email but still want to get prepared for the above issue to resolve in time.

I'm not sure about WVO, but for NDVO the MR Request Letter PDF will state which country they require PCC from for you and your spouse (in case of multiple countries), especially if u have already submitted PCC....

Dear Friends,

I have a situation in my hand. I got my PPR on Thursday, 16th April 2015, however I have a travel commitment with my employer prior to my getting the PPR Mail. I did a mail to accra visa office on this issue and am still waiting for feedback from AVO. Is there any other action I can take at this time? I don't want this to strain the relationship with my current employer.

I need your advice ASAP.

Thank you,

You can wait for a response..If they don't respond by the last week (say) of the time period given, submit ur passports to VO and postpone ur travel commitments with Employer.....I don't know abt Accra, but for my VO in Delhi, they never ever respond to mails/ CSEs..and the letter clearly states ur application may be refused if u don't follow the timelines...Not worth taking a risk at this stage...:)

I am an Indian Citizen living in the US currently. I recieved Passport request from CIC Ottawa on April 7th 2015. However, I sent them an email stating my inability to send them my passport due to Indian laws that prohibit Indian nationals from sending their passport outside the country they are residing in through Post. I have not heard back from them since April 7th. Since they gave a strict 30 day timeline to send the passport for Visa , shall I be worried ?

Secondly, I am planning to get married by the end of this year. Is it a good idea to request CIC to postpone my visa processing until after my wedding to ensure my wife can also apply for the PR along with me ? Has anyone done that request with any success ? What documents did you share with CIC to request visa postponement based on marriage grounds ? Your help is much appreciated.

a. You can contact New York VO also directly without waiting for CPC-Ottawa's response to get Passport stamped at NY, few ppl have done that to get PPR stamped....See here->

Got my stamped passport back from NY Today. I sent my passport on 1st Apr and got it back within 10 days from NY Consulate.

Just want it share information with people. May be it will help somebody:

My original office was New Delhi. As I am in US, I sent a case specific request to NDVO AND NYVO sseparately that I want to get my visa stamped in New York. New Delhi office has not replied till date but NY OFFICE REPLIED WITHIN a week and asked me to submit the passport to their office.

After that I got passport stamped in another 10 days.

So it makes me think my case specific query to New York office worked.

Hope this information helps somebody.

Btw as I understand, it's only illegal for Indian Passport holders to send passport out of India to another country, so US to Canada should be fine..Check up on this though I'm not sure....:)

b. This would delay ur process, they will sit on ur file without processing it until u get married, then once u send the docs of ur Wife they will do BG, Security, etc Processing on ur wife, then you would both proceed with PRs.....Other option (in case u don't inform) is to apply for her TRV and sponsor her from inland...This takes an even longer time as I understand...Suggest you contact forum-seniors 'Goku' and 'Diplomatru' once to get their advice...
