Congrats Indijoe...is your application submission date May 8th or August 5th? Please clarify. Wish you luck for left over process.
My application date is May 7th. I added my new born child to PR so it took some more time to finish his medicals etc. :)

Friends need advise.

I have sent bank draft as RPRF and passport copies to VO by post about 2 week ago and now I have completed emedical. As per medical center they have already uploaded my medical. I have informed VO via CSE that I have completed my medical with proof. Do I need to send medical completed confirmation by post also? Kindly suggest.

Thank you

Hi Seniors,

I received PPR email in December and received the COPR in Jan 2015 with the expiry date of 5th Oct 2015. My wife got pregnant in Feb 2015 and we havent landed in Canada yet to get the PR card. Her due date is in the 4th week of October.

If doctor advises her not to travel by flight, what are the options available to get the COPR extended for my wife alone. I am planning to go in Aug and get the PR card for myself. In the COPR document, it is mentioned to inform visa office about any change in family composition. So if i inform them now, is there a possibility for them to cancel the COPR and Visa for my spouse and then re-issue them after the kid is born and added.

Has anybody been in this situation before?

Please advise. It is very confusing to make a decision now.

Thanks in advance,

Hello Forumites!
Reg: Proof of funds to show at the port of entry

Previously I have shown my POF as bank FD which will mature on 22nd July. But I have planned to fly on 12th June and carry 2k CAD in hand.

So I ll be showing 14K CAD in FD and 2K CAD as cash in hand. I may later bring those 14K CAD.

Seniors, Plz throw some light. I am really confused here. I dont to want disturb my FD, as I may loose more than 12K INR.
Kindly respond me plz!

Thanks

I think till end of 4th month it is ok to travel, but still I would suggest you talk to doctor and then if he advices then book you travel as soon as possible. As far as I know Visa and COPR is not extendable but if VO wants they can extend it(95% cases they wont, as Decision is made already).

Hi All,
I have a question related to PPR.
Once they send PPR, do they also mention within how many days the PPR needs to be sent, such as 30 days?

Yes. They do give you time limit to submit our PP. Usually, its 30 days.

Thanks Goku. And during that time, if necessary we can request an extension or a transfer of visa office?

Thanks Goku, hoping for that.

Yes you can. If you have a genuine reason then I am sure IO will provide you with extension but still it will depend on Immigration officer if he can provide you with extension or not. Hope for best.
