Guys,

I asked my consultant about the extensive delay in MR. Here's the response from them: "Status request within regular processing times can make the officers angry and result in negative handling by them. It also increases the communication load on the visa office, which actually delays the real work on their part. However if you still wish for me to send a status request to the visa office, please let me know."

Now I certainly do not think that any visa officer will get "ANGRY" and give negative remarks or something, at the same time I dont want anything worng to go with my file. Do I ask my consultant to send a status request???

Please provide in

puts.

Hi Amit,

I assume this is the trick to make their work easier and avoid work-load. They are thinking about themselves rather than you or Visa office.
Would you mind sharing name of the consultant?
Seniors can comment more on this.

Hi,

I have received my GCMS notes. For my spouse and child it says medical passed and criminality in progress. but for me it says medical sent, IME status: not started and reason for closure: sent to eMed.

and what is biographic in GCMS notes?

Also what is ECU-PA, ECU-EDO and FOSS check clear?
Review of education, employment, residency and travel shows no apparent concern....what does it mean?

My medical was done in January and after 3 months also it says medical sent

Also I sent original PCC as requested by them and it says provided, scanned and trashed...

Please help

Hi Shah,

What I think here is, sent means they have sent you the medical request but they have not received your medical results except ur wife and kid. You just ask ur hospital and check if they have uploaded ur results ...check with them again.

There is absolutely no harm in sending a Status Request..It's perfectly reasonable and lots of ppl here have done so....The Officer might get irritated only at receiving the same Enquiry again and again....:)

However NDVO (which i assume is ur VO) never responds to CSEs asking for status(which to be fair is their right- rembr they tell u they will not respond if Application processing is within Normal Timeframes (which by their calculation is 24 months i think :o)..So sending CSEs won't help...

What you can do is raise a Request for GCMS Notes which shows the status of ur file and wat steps they r taking to process it...It comes after 30 days and shows the status as on the date u apply..and it has absolutely no effect on ur application, since it's just their system snapshot/dump...

Hey guys,

Vishu-10.jpg

May your dream come true soon.....Wish you all a Very Happy Vishu :)

hello people,

Got third line update yesterday.
Do you think that due to May intake student rush our processing will be delayed?
I have observed the timeline of people who received MR in November, they got PPR after around 2 months. That is due to January intake I guess.
Do you think its a right guess? :'( :'( :'(

Thanks for the info...
my concern is medical were already uploaded by hospital. IME no was wrong in the medical form...I called doctor and they said it was uploaded in January only...nothing is pending from their end.
Also regarding PCC scanned and trashed....I sent my pcc in feb and GCMS says it is at desk as file not traceable and later in march I sent my spouse pcc and it says scanned and trashed...how come one person pcc they keep and others trashed?
entire process is getting delayed because of medical in progress status...
now nothing more I can do from my end as medical completion receipt was also sent to NDVO in feb first week...
any other suggestion?

Hi shah81,

I'm not an expert but I can try to answer some queries based on seniors' replies in the forum....:)

original PCC as requested by them and it says provided, scanned and trashed- This is fine, it means they scanned it for their records and they disposed the physical copy....maybe they don't keep physical copies, only keep electronic records..this makes sense given the volume of docs they receive..this is interesting info... :)

ECU-PA (Program Assistant)- The Dept. of Lower-level Officers which does the basic eligibility check and the first-round scrutiny of docs at the VO
ECU-EDO is the department where officer picks application, validates it and post MR and RPRF forward it to ECU-RFV (Ready for Visa).
FOSS is the Canadian DB for Immigration where background check is done- if our name is on the db, it throws a flag...FOSS Check clear is good news..:)

Review of education, employment, residency and travel shows no apparent concern- It means prima facie its all clear, no suspicions raised in VO's mind based on the docs provided (this is a +ve thing)..Now say if you had traveled to countries like Afghanistan concern might have been raised :)

For ur Medicals,
I think it's not received yet..Sent means they have sent you MR....Check the Outgoing and Incoming Communciations Sections carefully and also check the Detailed Notes Section once at the last few pages to see what the Officer might have remarked on...

Also check out 'nov_2014's posts and the replies once here...Seems he was in a similar situation, his and kid's medicals received, but sposue's medicals not received initially (so no 3rd line) but later he got it after a month->

Dear All,

I am july applicant, I got my 3rd line updated on 10th march, but yet no DM/PPR, Please guide what to do, shall I apply for GCMS if yes how to apply for it?

Please guide

Thanks for the reply...but that's not the issue...hospital uploaded it in January only...even copies were sent to VO in feb...
