This is about PCC.

I am from Ahmedabad India and need to submit PCC by April 30.

I went to local police station and filled up application for myself and my spouse.. and after all those procedure... the authorities have issued me a Police Verification Certificate (PVC). It has my photograph.. passport and address details and just a line that they have not found any adverse things about me in their records... and a copy marked to regional passport office signed by a Police Inspector on behalf of Commissioner of Police, Ahmedabad.

I asked them is PCC and PVC same?? they had no clue about it. They say we issue just this.

So My query remains, Is PCC and PVC same.. I hope I am not making any mistake.

Hi ! The Police Verification Certificate is good and valid. Police Clearance Certificate is issued by Regional Passport Office. However, I know candidates whose PVC was accepted as bottom line, PCC or PVC, they just need clearance from Police. Rather I guess, PVC is better as it has validity of 1 year printed on it.

Do I need to inform this to VO. Or It will be just fine because we are in the same company but different project.

If I need to inform VO then what would be the procedure. Till now I only have PER. Will this situation affect if there is any verification?

Senior pls guide.

I guess thats booked already but have a check by contacting the office .

The reference letter if given in the expected format as per CIC you need not worry about others .
