hi everyone

i got mail from cic on march 5th like Based on a review of the information you have provided, your application has received a positive determination of eligibility to be processed on the basis of work experience in an occupation specified in the Instructions issued by the Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism and published in the Canada Gazette on May 1, 2014. However a final decision on your eligibility to be selected as a federal skilled worker will be made by a visa office. what does this means. in the status it is showing that "in process".

my application was received on december 17th.
please do reply
This is a positive eligibility review (PER), meaning you have passed the Eligility stage by Intake office. Next stage is Selection which is based in various factors including work background, security/criminality,... to be done at a local visa office. If successful you will be requested to submit a medical report (MR). Please look at the timeline of other members to familiarize yourself with the stages.

It means you received your PER with file and UCI no. However this is only the first but major step completed.

All the best for your Medical Request.

Process Remaining @ VO after submitting Passport..??

Some one asked about the remaining process @ VO after submitting passport for visa stamp..??

I think, the passports are just in the queue to be stamped with Visa as all the procedure has been
completed before this PPR and they have an electronic file ready and they don't have to refer to
paper file submitted by us.

Need Experts' comments as their guidance has been great..

Hi,

If the primary applicant go first and get the PR , what is the process for dependents when they come to Canada ?
• How they can show that primary applicant has already visited ?
• And when the dependents come to Canada , does the primary applicant has to be present in Canada ?

Thanks!!

Hi,

They have to book tickets within the given time and arrive there. Nothing special is required.

1. It is clearly written in the COPR which is primary and which is dependent.
2. No, its not required.
