Hello Forumites,

I would like to add my daughter in the application and for which I have collected every document that I had asked by NDVO.

3 Questions:

1. Do I need to include the payment form ( the one which we submitted initially, adding 1 X $150 ) too, as it wasn't mentioned in the mail by NDVO

2. Can I pay by debit card ?

3. If I want to pay by DD, whom should it says to deliver ? Reciever General of Canada ?

Please reply ASAP

TIA

1,No need of payment form.
2,only DD - in my knowledge
3,Yes correct

Hi,

Just got my Immigrant stamping done on my passport.

I need to travel to Canada now and get a PR card once and for all.

But, I am planning a short trip this time (say 2 -3 weeks) and my PR card will not come in this time for sure.

Can I get the card delivered to my cousin in Vancouver, while I travel to Toronto for these 2-3 weeks. Or I need to be in the same city where I have applied for PR card?

Thanks

better go for same city!

Hi All

Have just got passport stamped for PR. Validity for landing in Canada is till 30th Nov'15 as spouse's passport is valid till that date. Planning to fly to Toronto by 1st week of Aug'15 by which time spouse's passport validity will be little less than 4 months.

1. Will the less than 6 months validity be a problem at Indian Immigration at the time of exit? or will COPR be proof enough?

2. If airline we choose has stopover in London or Brussels would those countries' immigration have any problem with the passport validity when we pass through for connecting flights?

3. After spending 2 to 3 months in Canada and collected our PR cards, insurance cards etc, we intend to return to India for winding up some other stuff which can't happen prior to leaving. If return to India is around Oct'15/ Nov'15, by that time passport validity will be less than a month. Will that again be a problem as on point # 1 and 2 mentioned above?

4. One option to avoid Q3 is to renew passport at Indian embassy in Canada before returning. But in his case our permanent Mumbai address is not in the 'machine readable' sections of his passport;it was given to him as a hand-written endorsement on a separate page inside. Any idea if that would create any problem for renewal in Canada?

5. Also anyone has experienced Indian passport renewal in Toronto recently? While their websites mention 1 to 2 months, does it actually take that long?

Looking forward to guidance on the above from experienced group members pls!!

thanks
Aasa

you need more than 6 months of passport validity at least, travel lil earlier !!!

and

CONGRATULATIONS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

gudluck ;D ;D

Couple of things:
1. Have you informed the VO that you are in a different country and your wife is in India? If yes then there is a high possibility VO will send the letters in such a way that you both can get it stamped in your VO of your current countries
2. Your wife can raise a CSE but what we have seen is, only in rarest or rare cases NDVO reverts back to you. Most of the time they don't
3. If you have not informed the VO about this situation then I recommend you raise a CSE and inform the VO about this situation. Its the right thing to do. The pit fall is if you have been in Saudi for a longer time then you will be asked to submit the PCC from saudi, leading to a delay in the whole process.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for the reply Futurecanadian

1.I did my medicals from saudi ...No i have not told NDVO because I am here for a short time
2.My worry is that if i get the request of PP between 12th-20th may(considering that my 3rd line got updated on 11th april) then i will be in a tricky situation because i need to be back in india by 8th -9th june(my saudi visa is till this date). In this case I can't submit my passport in saudi considering the point that it takes 10-15 days to get it back :(
3.No worries for that as I will be back in india before completion of 6 months

Any suggestions please...
