You too have a point but having money in one bank account rather than other forms can save us from conversion charges charged by the agents of these companies .I think we lose lot of money in these conversion charges and we must enquire about charges compared to bank. Also we can switch our scotia funds to any other bank(say TD bank) of choice by doing again a wire transfer when we need in canada.

Yes I agree to you MDV ab't transfering the cash to the scotiabank and later transfering to any bank you want...
Its always better to split your funds into different sources.
Some in Bank account, Some cash, Some D.D. / TC

Even If you are a single applicant, You need around 12k CAD while landing right ?

You could carry a Travelers cheque / Travel card..
No transaction fee on Travel card transactions if I'm not wrong.
But not sure on the Travelers cheque.
Someone here can confirm.

Also you need 12k POF right ?

NO, Travel card will not work here, they are mostly for the tourists/visitors and all will work with PR/immigrants is in the form of Cash & TC (traveller's chq).
NOT mandatory to bring all the money which you have showed at the time of Application (POF)

If carrying more than $10000 cash you need to declare at immigration check with an additional form.

Hello Friends,

I have a question. While registering for CIIP , there is a question that says

Services are offered on a regular basis in the following locations. Which ONE of these locations could you travel to for CIIP services?

In India, there is only one option which is Delhi.

I was under an impression that there is Bangalore location.Could you please let me know how to choose Bangalore.

Thanks
Reshmi

Palak... I see that you have landed. Congrats...
You could help us clarify this doubt.
When u said Travel card wouldn't work, What does that mean ? You can always show the statement of that and the amount right ?
Also how much cash is minimum to carry with you while landing ?

As far as I understood, face to face CIIP session is only in Delhi. People from Bangalore and other locations can attend on call.
