Thx coolguy.... its obviously all burnt down into deep dark side of human nature... which make you feel good as you know you are not alone.... even in relatively bad situation.
Yeah.. we shall survive and surface soon.

is there a way where - I can call or mail or open a ticket to know the status of my app ?

i would not agree to the dark side of human nature part.

the one thing is for sure that once you know you are not alone, then you have more confidence as you know you have that support. just like everyone supports the other here in this forum. if you are alone then desperation / frustration follows.

you can know the status through ECAS. furthermore the seniors here have suggested that we are well within our timeline so need to just wait patiently. the standard for NDVO from MR to PPR is 2 to 5 months. I am through Consultant David Cohen and they only told me that it will take upto 2- 5 months. so i am keeping my fingers crossed even though i am seeing people after me getting Visa stamped. We just keep praying and wait for out turn and hope that it comes soon. :-)

Even then if you want you can raise a CSE to delhi immigration. Seniors please advise.

Is it necessary to take passport along while going for medicals? Can we take any other proof like DL, Pan card or Aadhar Card?

original passport is compulsory. also carry a copy of the same. without original passports your visit will be waste.

Hospital will not start the procedure without checking your original PP. you must bring it to medicals along with you...

we can open a Scotia Bank account from India. We can transfer our funds to that account and that helps with the stress of obtaining TCs and BDs :).
All we need to do is contact our nearest Scotia bank branch in India and they will help us with the account opening.
The documents required to initiate the process:
Original Passports with the visa stamps
Original CPR documents
Once we produce these documents to our nearest branch, they help us fill out the application forms and then send the referral to our desired Canadian branch. It takes a week or 2 for the account to be opened and the welcome pack o reach us in our current address(India). Once we receive our welcome pack, which will have our account number, cheque leaves etc., we have to initiate the request for the wire transfer of funds. Our local branch of Scotia bank can help with this. Once the funds are transferred and credited into our account, we will receive a bank balance certificate which can serve the POF requirements at the point of entry(Airport/border) during the landing process.
Want more? The transferred money is readily available for our use on a 1 click activation after we visit our branch in Canada, while our BDs may take as long as a month to get credited.
We can also apply for a $1000 credit card with our account and so we will have all that waiting for us when we visit our branch in Canada for activation.
A husband and wife can open 2 separate accounts or a joint account from here. The maximum limit to transfer to the new Scotia bank accounts while still in India is CAD$50000 and only one wire transfer is allowed per account before it is activated.

I have got relatives who are advising me against opening bank account from India because they say that these banks have very less physical presence in the different cities of canada. so you end up getting tied up. if you carry the TC / BD / CASH then you have the option to open accounts in any of the local banks who have a much larger physical presence and hence more choice and facilities. also you can deposit these TC / CASH / BD in more than one bank account too. Just a thought.
