I am also on 2174...NDVO has been very slow with 2174. You can check the spreadsheet (link below my post) and see which date are they processing for 2174. I am a May 20th applicant and I submitted my passports for stamping just 10 days back.
So you will need a lot of patience after each line update but the result is a sweet one

URGENT

Guys,

Can anybody suggest if getting upfront medical tests delays the processing or not?

I am 19 Nov. applicant and expecting MR to come in May but was thinking of getting it done early and once I will actually receive the request, I will submit the proofs and other related documents.

If anybody has done the same thing, can someone share his/her experience.

You can't do upfront medicals. You need the invitation from VO to do the medicals. That's the only way the hospital can upload the results to VO. The only thing you can do is to do medicals to make sure you are fine.

Hi

I need help. I am highly confused with the recent events. I have received passport requests email without medical request.

I am August 6th Applicant.

My second line got updated and says that started processing application on March 26 and on 31st March I received Passport request email. I have not received any medical request so far. I am confused, I have mailed to Delhi immigration but no response as of yet. They do not even entertain on telephone.

Should I wait for their reply or should i send my passports to Delhi for stamping as the email suggests that one should send the documents within 30 days after receiving the email. its going to be 15 days now almost.

please help what should I do? is that email valid?

Go ahead and send your passports. To the most they will send them back without stamping and a reply to their glitch.

does third line mean that docs of RPRF have been received by NDVO? or third line has no connection with RPRF/bio pages of passports.

3rd line update does not necessarily mean RPRF received but if you have sent all documents in the same courier then you can safely assume that it has been received.

Buddy, I know one gets request letter from VO for medical but as an alternative CIC does provide this option of getting it done upfront.

Its perfectly legal......however in this case you are required to submit the proofs provided by the hospital to Visa office along with other RPRF docs when you actually get the request.

4.3.2 Upfront Medical (IMM 1017B Upfront)

This form is usually sent in that MR request from VO......however one can download this and submit to Hospital. One of my friend got it done as well. I am pretty sure of this process. However, my concern is that it doesnt delay the process.
