GUYS any lucky one whose passport has been stamped and got back , please inform - how much time CIC permits for landing ? means how long one can stay in home country to wind up the things ?

One year from the date of Medicals or Expiry date of the Passport whichever is earlier...

If you are planning for short landing, you should not take Health Insurance, if you have plan to migrate after a year or so,
as you wont be able to fulfill the eligibility requirements by not being present in Canada. You should apply for Health Insurance after migrating permanently.
It is a rear case that there will be problem with PR card.but in case you have, you need to have Travel document from Immigration before leaving Canada and can enter Canada by road (i.e. From USA). Just search it, you will find the info.

Slight correction- For entering Canada by Commercial Transport (Air/ Rail/Bus), without PR Card, Travel Document is mandatory...it has to be applied at the Canada Visa Offices abroad before going...

However, if entering Canada by the US Border by private car without PR Card, COPR Letter is sufficient....You do not need Travel Document also....Of course you have to have a Valid US Visa as well...:)

Hi All,

Once I will get my visa stamped, for how long i need to stay in Canada minimum?
Also, what are the formalities(forms/cards) while I will be in Canada? How many days will it take for the whole process?

Thanks,
Guri

Guys, My journey of getting a Canadian PR ends here. I got my passport back in mail with the maple stamp today. :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D

Thanks a ton to all the support I got from this forum. I can say with confidence that I wouldn't have gotten my PR without the support from this forum and people like Diplo and many others. This forum's worth a million times more than any consulting company!

I'll be applying for my brother later this year through the Express Entry system. I'll be here sharing that experience as well.

Congrats Bro !!!
