Strong Suggestion for everyone:

who are willing to deposit their passports for visa stamping.

pls send it through VFS. Do not think of money, you are going to spend. Atleast you know the status of ur passport. Otherwise each day seems to be hell until you recieve the passport.

dear brother Once your file processing starts then ur background checks will be done and u'll rcv ur MR.
after your MR.. your Criminality checks gets starts and everything is fine then u'll get ur DM and PPR.

Hi Friends,

Need your inputs. I am on H Visa in US and planning to do my Canada landing (& apply my pr card as of now) and then come back to US in couple of days.I will also carry all my H visa supporting docs in order to avoid any issues while re-entry in US.
Did anybody did that in past or if in same situation? Do you think of any other document or any set of questionnaire I need to be aware of.

Finally received the passport request email from CPC Ottawa. Medicals were done on 14th Jan. ) yippeeee.

Now they have asked me to send the passports to CPC Ottawa from India. Sending is not a problem but for return they will send it by normal post since the address is outside north america.

Can someone please confirm if VFS offers services for CPC Ottawa or is there any other option ?

Receiving original passports through regular post is very risky.

Kindly guide.

Sending passports out of India is illegal, strongly advise you to hunt for alternatives....

Saw a post from nishesh earlier that the PPR Mail is valid for all VOs and u can submit ur PP @ any VO for stamping....So in that case you can submit at CHC, Delhi in case u r in India....request seniors in similar situation to respond...

Maddy,
1) FBI PCC has no relation to MR. They happen in parallel. Before the MR is issued the VO initiates the background check from an employment perspective and they also initiate the other verification's. Typically they ask for PCC to be submitted along with medicals.
2) It should not but primarily they check for any communicable diseases. If you have all the surgery related documents then I suggest you carry them along with you during medicals to be shown to the medical officer

In November I asked to submit only my hubby's FBI Pcc as I already submitted Pcc with my application
Now on 14 march I could submit it. Eagerly waiting for MR. Hope I clear criminality check soon and get MR
2)in 2004 I had TB meningitis so worried for test. I don't have surgical records for my shunt surgery since long time 11 years passed for it . Any suggestion what can I do for that?
