Hi Everyone,

I got my FBI PCC and it states that "A search of the fingerprints provided by this individual has revealed no prior arrest data at the FBI. This does not preclude further criminal history at the state or local level"

Is this normal wording of the FBI PCC ?

Yes, they changed the wording recently. Join our separate CPC-O thread.

Another valid question: Is it better to have 1 bank account opened, or multiple..say of spouse...

I would say. Try and keep it simple.

Maintaining a good credit history is crucial for a good life in Canada. Unless you are really good at tracking payments \ dues from all the accounts without a miss. I would suggest one account should suffice the need

Dear Seniors...

Its has been a pleasure being on this group and reading.. the discussions here are indeed very very helpful.

I have a query, would be greatful if someone please guide.

I have got mail for my medicals and PCC and need to submit by April 30.

Now, my son's passport expires in May 2016. So do I need to get it renewed before I send the same for stamping ?? (assuming and praying that they would call for our passports say by May 2015 if everything goes on well).

Congratulations on getting Medical Request.

I would say get your son's passport renewed ASAP under Tatkal Scheme. It would take a week's time for issuing a new passport.

While sending the documents to NDVO, You can include a cover letter with the new passport details for your son.

Guys,
I am seeking information about photo specification required for ME. Is this the same photo that was sent with initial application? Passport size photos should be good.

  • City: Kathmandu
    Name: International Organization for Migration
  • City: Damak
Name: Damak 10 International Organization for Migration
These 2 hospitals are eMedical enabled. Call the hospital and ask if they need to get photos.

I am from Nepal and I am opting DD for RPRF.So, On behalf of whom DD should be prepared and what currency do they entertain?
For DD, The bank draft should be made for the exact amount and in favour of "Canadian High Commission" or "Receiver General for Canada" payable at New Delhi. Refer to http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/india-inde/visas/fees-frais.aspx?lang=eng

Hello friends,

finally i received MR for my Pr app on 25th march, seven months after per email...

just wanted your view on the situation.

as you know till few days back Mr was not in sight, I decided to apply for a student permit(i got admission to york university mba program in january 2015).

i applied for student permit on 17th march, and they sent me medical request for student permit on 18th march, and i did the medicals on the 19th march. while submitting the app at VAC, they asked my passports as well.

now on 25th march, i got MR for my PR app which i filed on 7th may 2014. when i went to the hospital, they said you need not worry to do the medicals again, and send the new IME form with the medical completion receipt we gave you via courier along with other docs to the embassy.

i did the same and sent all docs via courier yesterday with a very elaborate letter, telling the embassy that im attaching all the proofs of completed medicals for Canada, and you are requested to attach those to my PR app.

hope i did the right thing..i have time till 25th april to submit all docs..

please guide, if i shall approach any other hospital to do medicals, or the embassy will accept my medical i did for study permit for pr application....

thanks...

My friend, This is what i found on Canada Visa Website : http://www.canadavisa.com/canadian-immigration-faq-medical-examinations.html

Question 9 should answer your query.

Hi,

When we register for CIIP sessions, should we need to mention the province and city which we mentioned in our application?

Will it be a problem, if mention any other province and city?

Ex: In application - Calgary now - Toronto

ANy comments

:) :) :)

Relax, It wont create any problem. CIIP is there to make our transition to Canada smoother.

Do not worry about it. :) :) :)

Hi,

We landed in Toronto on 24th March,2015. It was good and memorable experience considering the grueling and anxious time of the from the time of filing the application to securing the visa. The immigration procedure was extremely well organised and courteously carried out by the Canadian Authorities.

All the best and Congratulations my friend !!! :) :) :)

:D :D :D :D Happy Day :D :D :D :D

After a journey of 280 days did i got hold of my passport with beautiful visa stamped. Support from this forum is really great and I would like to thank all members for the help and contributions. Now the new journey lies ahead with so many uncertainties but expecting best in days to come.

My stats are as below :

1) File received by CIC - 20 June 2014
2) PER - 20 Oct 2014
3) MR - 11 Dec 2014
4) MR done - 01 Jan 2015
5) PPR - 28 Feb 2015
6) PP received back - 26 March 2015

Admin pls do the needful of having the ss updated as i could not do it even though i tried.

My Experiences :

- Go through the informations provided by CIC and it is more than what a "Consultant" could provide. You will eventually get hold of
updated documents and save huge buck.
- Do not spend time waiting, just act on it.
- Prepare all supporting documents before hand but check check and check before sending final documents.
- Send only those documents requested and instructed by CIC and dont send originals until and unless asked.
- Documents required keeps changing, so keep track on it.
- Have patient and getting impatient will not improve situation.

Hope all gets pass through.

Congratulations my friend !!! :) :) :)

Hi Seniors

can any one tell me COPR will issue all family members or only primary applicant?

I see NDVO is issuing lots of PPR lately.
Did anybody who got delayed by FBI PCC got the PPR after submitting it ??

COPR is sent to the applicant and any secondary applicants, if your spouse and children are part of your application then they will get COPR papers as well

Well I dont know much about the question but what is the possibility of her/his mind changing again (you know that marriages are made in heaven) and is it even worth Rs. 25K when you have come to this stage after such a long wait (paying ECA, and visa fee and all) and do not have an option for your spouse to re-think upon it later ?
