Guys,

One last question on Passports (I know some people may want to kill me for this). Can anyone tell me when (what time in the day) exactly does the 'being processed' status changes to 'dispatched' on VFS website? Right now I'm like checking twice every hour and getting sick of it!

Most probably during the afternoon time (between 3-5).

We have sent Passport to NDVO on 19th March, not received it back yet.
Waiting and Waiting, dont know why it is taking so long. Looks like NDVO was on long leave last week.

We submitted our pp to our consultants. They have couriered it. Any idea how many days extra will it take through courier.
Do they also do any extra varification after PPR?

I don't know exactly. But someone told me here itself that it takes longer than VFS. I guess its because they send it through local post :| whereas VFS has its own pick up agents...

I don't think they do any verification after PPR. Unless you have a travel history more recent than your application submission date...

Guys,

Did anyone get his stamped passports from NDVO today?? What about people who have submitted on 18th, 19th, 20th and 23rd March?

For past 6-7 days the visa stamping activity has been quite sluggish.
Maybe they have run out of visa stamps and now waiting for next batch to arrive from canada ..just kidding

I think this is where the lag is -
(Purely basis my observation only)

VFS Process
Day1 > PPF Submitted at VFS
Day 2 > With VO........ (Takes X days to stamp visa)
Day X > Visa stamped by VO
Day X+1 > PPF ready for pick up at VFS.

Courier Process
Day 1 > Handed over to Courier (provided consultant did not have a delay, else add 1 day lag)
Day 2 > Out for delivery if it made before dispatch cutoff on Day 1 else extended to day 3 ...High chances of spilling to Day 3...
Day 3 > With VO........ (Takes X days to stamp visa)
Day X > Visa stamped by VO and sent to mail room
Day X+1 > Mailroom triggers PPF return via registered India Post.
Day X+2 > IPO routes PPF to nearest PO.
Day X+3 > PPF out for delivery.

With the above assumption - VFS is 3-4 days quicker.

Hello guys!

Need help. Got PPR from Ottawa office on 03/25 and need to send it asap. I live in USA and according to CIC instructions I need to buy paid shipping label from Canada Post. Did anyone send it? Do I need to buy a label for shipping back to my USA address? And then include it in my courier to CIC along with passport.
