Re- Evaluation Of Celpip General

Hello,

i just checked my celpip general result now and i,m so disappointed.
Listening- 12
Reading - 10
Writing - 7

and the sad part - Speaking -6,

for my NOC i need 7 in all 4.
Though i have immediately booked for another test but thinking of re- evaluation of the speaking result.
has anyone here been in this kind of situation and re- evaluated?
can you please share your though and outcome.

Hi,

You should definitely apply for re-evaluation. There is a post of successful re-evaluations on this forum. Unfortunately I am not able to post the link in here. you can search

'Celpip successful re evaluation' on google and you will come across that post. There are 2-3 cases there where marks increased for writing and speaking as they are very subjective sections.

you can definitely try... now a days CELPIP company making money from the people by failing atleast in one component.
Because of CIC --- these companies(IELTS/CELPIP) are making more and more money from people in CANADA.

Speaking, clb 8 , everything else was clb 10+ , so I missed a lot of points for a 1 degree in speaking

I'm in the same boat man. Everything else 10 or 10+. Speaking 8
Losing a lot of points because of it. Have applied for re-evaluation though and just praying I can get one more degree.
Celpip speaking seemed really unbalanced to me. More of a quick thinking and knowledge test than the speaking ability.

How much time did it take them to notify you?

3 weeks , Celpip speaking is unrealistic, In life no one speak to computer to make conversation.

I had given TOEFL 3 years back and the computer speaking test there made some sense. As you had to listen to stuff before for a min or more and read stuff and make deductions from there. In Celpip, you are given only 30 secs, and then 15 of which just pass in reading the question. what can you think and structure in rest of 15 secs :S . Unless you already know a lot about that topic or you have been in such situation before.

I got nothing but disappointment when I submit for re-evaluation. No Increase in score what so ever. :-\

Speaking 10
Writing : 8
Reading : 6

There is low chance for score increase in Reading and listening , it is MCQ and computer based, so it is very hard to get wrong score

I got increased speaking from 6 to 7 couple of months ago. Pretty much same situation. Go for it.

My speaking score jumps from 8 to 10 after re-evaluaiton. they refunded the $57 and also send two score report. It took me 14 days to get the updated score online.
My suggestion go ahead and do the re-ev.worth it. Let us know if your score change
