Hi,

Would like everyone to share his or her story, if they have applied for re-evaluation and got higher band.

Thank you so much!!

I am eagerly waiting for my re-evaluation scores:

My original score was:

Listening - 8.5
Reading - 8.5
Speaking - 7.5
Writing - 6.5

Need a minimum 7 in writing.

Well..I gave my IELTS GT on 25th June, 2016 from Saudi Arabia. The result was supposed to be announced on 8th July, but was withheld for investigation. I received my result on 22nd July (I think) and the result was L8.5 R9 W6 S7.5. I was not happy with my writing score so I applied for Enquiry of results (EOR/reevaluation) for writing part only on 26th July. I got my result (via email from test center admin) for EOR on 9th August and the writing score changed to 7.

When you can get 7.5 for speaking then surely you can get 7 in writing. I assume yours will change to 7.5 if you have written up to or more than the words limit.

Good luck

Congrats!
I have seen a lot of people in a similar situation, and their Writing band was reevaluated as 7 (instead of 6.5).
It is likely, mostly because of your high scores on the other bands. Be optmistic.

My resutlts were 6.5 in speaking and 7 in writing, speaking increased upto 8 and writing upto 7.5,i had another test where i applied for re evaluation for writing which is 6.5 but results not out yet

Hi first of all congratulations...
I too have applied for revaluation. I was pretty sure that I would get a good score for writing but all I got was a 6.5 while I had 8 for speaking.
I too have applied for revaluation. But your case to me is shocking as if I am current yours was completed in 2 weeks...
For people it takes 6-8 weeks and more...

Hi, Below are my results. Please let me know if I should go for reeavaluation in writing. Also please suggest if there is risk of marks getting decreased.

Listening: 8.5
Reading: 8.0
Writing: 6.5
Speaking: 7.0

Hi, I took my test on September 10th and got the following results;
Overall
8.0
Listening
8.5
Reading
7.0
Writing
7.5
Speaking
8.5

I don't think I did badly in 'reading' to get a 7 and I missed the IELTS 8 band for 'writing' by 0.5 points. Do you think I should go ahead and apply for re-evaluation? Could someone please outline the steps for re-evaluation and also the time frame to get the re-evaluated results?

Thanks :'(

usually reading and listening are computerized checking, so error chances are extremely low, and any way ur score is very good. n reason to go for revaluation.
