Re-Entry Visa: Paper Application Mailing Address

One of my friends is applying for a re-entry visa to Canada. He is on a WP and applying for re-entry visa from within Canada. Should he be sending the documents to the below address when sent thru Canada Xpresspost?

There is an instruction on CIC website if he is going to mail it and to courier it:

To submit a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) application from within Canada, mail your application to:

P. O. Box 9640
Ottawa, ON, K1G 6T2

Tell him to include self-addressed envelope. From my experience he will receive passport back in a month.

I think the checklist says if it is regular mail then send to CPP – Ottawa P. O. Box 9640 Ottawa, ON, K1G 6T2 or if it is courier then send to CPP – Ottawa Temporary Resident Visa Section 365 Laurier Avenue West Ottawa, ON K1A 1L1.. i sent two days ago to Laurier Avenue.

Hello Everyone,
I have applied for my PR under CEC and have received my AOR already and with that AOR I have recently also applied for my BOWP. I am currently unemployed and I am on EI.
I am currently on a Valid Closed Work permit which expires in September 2014.

I live in Toronto, Canada and my friends and me are planning on a trip to Disneyland for a week in the USA, I do have a B1/B2 Visitors Visa for the USA which expires in October 2022 (which was issued in Canada).

We will be traveling my car to go to the USA. I wanted to know if I can exit Canada to go to the USA with my friends and then re-enter Canada safely and without any hassels with immigration at the border.
Or
Is there some kind of Canadian VISA that I would have to apply for to re-enter back into Canada (in addition of the other documents that I already have - which are mentioned above) in addition of the American Visitors Visa (B1/B2 - October 2022) that I already have.

I thank you in advance for your responses and any advice will be greatly appreciated as I prefer to clear all the doubts in my head to avoid any problems with immigration at the borders.
