im a live in caregiver, im going home in the philippines this december im just staying there for a week and spending most of my vacation in singapore since my husband was working there. my problem is my visa is already expired, is it okay to get my re entry visa in canada embassy in singapore? and also renew my passport in philippine embassy in singapore?

Apply for a TRV in Ottawa. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp takes about 30 days. The minimum processing in Singapore is 14 days.

I have the same problem with my sister who live in Canada and now want to move with her husband to England. She apply for renewal the passport and they give her a month for processing.

Previously there was a program for TFWs who are on vacation in the Philippines and will be returning back to Canada to get their re-entry visas in three (3) days. Not anymore, since the consolidation of processing of applicants from Japan to CEM as well as other functions. Processing times to guide you is as listed on the CEM website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=188&t=17
