I'm currently in my final term of studies which ends on mid of December 2024. My official transcripts are given on Jan 3 or Jan 10 tentatively. Is it okay to travel to home country and return to Canada? (I'm planning from Dec 15 to less jan 15, I've a very important work which I can't deny that's the only reason for my visit)
During research, immigration consultant from college and even ircc call center said that we can go to home country and return to Canada as long as we have valid TRV (which I have until April 2025) BUT it is up to the border security officer who decides whether we can stay in Canada or not itseems.
Others say that we can travel in between studies multiple times but once final term is over, and if you travel back to Canada they might not allow stating that you don't have valid reason to stay in Canada as studies have been over.
Ps: I don't want to apply pgwp outside Canada as I have to wait until I receive pgwp. Also college doesn't provide convocation letters or anything related to that in January. So idk whether I can use that as an excuse.
So what should I consider. Can I go and come back
Any leads would be appreciated. Pls provide any ideas or suggestions to decide.
