Re entry into Canada from US. Valid entry and expired visa

My parents have valid entry into Canada but visa had expired in the passport. They came on super visa.

They have a valid US visa as well.


I want to know if they can visit US for a week or so and re enter Canada on the same entry? I heard this is possible but did not find any online reference.

I went to US with expired visa and re-enter Canada without any problem. You need to have valid permit though! I can't put up the link here but you can find that info on the webpage which mention about expired TRV. Print that page and make sure your parents brought with them that printed copy just in case the ppl in the US airport asked about the expired visa

it is in the CIC website, and also when I travelled to US with my mom (she is a visitor) last year and also this year with her expired visa, there was no question asked, since she has Visitor Extension until Feb2016. I called CIC here to make sure and they are very nice to email me what they have in their website, and you can do the same thing. hope this helps.
