Hello all,

I wrote recently in another thread that we have just been approved and our passports will shortly be stamped with entry required by April 2011.

Ideally we would like to visit our family in Toronto for 2 weeks in January 2011, but would then need to return to Australia to tie up our affairs (the 10 months that they have given us is not long enough).
We will apply for our PR cards as soon as we land, and can have them sent to a family member.
We will only make our final move about June next year, so can the PR cards just be sent to us in Australia?
Is this the best way to do things?

I am not an expert, but I think, if you have a family member there in Canada, you can put that address and the card will arrive there.
I know it cannot be mailed outside Canada. Let's hear from the rest of the members

I know for sure many of my friends have received PR cards out of Canada through courier. Actually, I am also planning to get them out of Canada through courier. But once you land there, just make sure, before leaving that they have entered your postal address correctly in the system.
