I will be landing as a permanent resident of Canada in about two weeks (yay!). Port of entry will be Toronto airport. We will visit some friends in Ontario and then move on to our destination, Nova Scotia, by car.
We are considering to drive through the US on the way in order to cut some kilometres and possibly visit some outlets in Maine, but can I do that? It goes without saying, that I won't have my PR card by then. As far as I understand, entering Canada over land seems to be possible without a PR card, but can I be sure? Would it be enough just to show my passport, or would I need to show any additional documentation?
Advice is much appreciated!
