@karankr1991 How did you tackled the situation? Were you able to enter on TRV?

We got ecopr last Nov. 8 and my husband (inside Canada) had an emergency back home so he left yesterday without PR card because of the current canada post strike although gckey says that PR card was mailed last week. What's the best option for him to be able to go back in 2 weeks? Thank you and appreciate your response.

Hi! My friend is in similar situation and looking for best option. Did your husband was allowed entry without PR card ?. Any help will be appreciated.

There are three options:

1) Apply for PRTD.
2) Travel to US and cross a land border (obviously will require having a passport from a Visa Waiver country or a US Visa).
3) If PR card arrives in Canada while abroad, get a family member or friend to send it overseas with a courier (e.g. FedEx).

Yes my husband was able to do it but he changed his flight back. He went to New York first, rented a car and drove to Toronto thru Peace Bridge. No questions asked at the border, he just showed his ECOPR (they scanned the code) and passport and that’s it.

Different scenario. Entering through a land border with just a COPR and no PR card has always been possible.
