Re enter canada with a post grad work permit

I have a query about re-entering Canada on my post grad work permit. I stayed in Canada for 2 years from sept 2013 - sept 2015 on my study permit, after which I applied for post grad work permit. Although my student permit expired on July 2015, I was staying there on an implied status as my work permit processing took a lot of time. However I had to visit India in Oct 2015. So I came to India even though my work permit was under process. Before I left I spoke to cic office and they informed me I can come back only after my work permit gets approved. Now I have received my post grad work permit on Nov 2015. Now I wanna go back to Canada, but I wanna know what kind of visa I need to apply in order to enter Canada

You need to apply for travel visa.

To enter Canada, you need a permit to enter (Canadian visa) and a proof of purpose (Canadian work permit).

Since you already have and I assume you have it with you, you just need a visa. Just go to CIC website and apply for a visitor visa. You will answer some eligibility questions before you can apply, so you don't have to worry to apply an incorrect visa.

You need to apply for a TRV based on your approved WP which you can either do it online or Visit one of the Canadian Visa offices in India which deals with State of your residence.

i was in the same boat.. i had my work permit but visa expired. so i just applied for a work visa and they gave me a visit visa instead to enter.. so it doesnt really matter just apply for the Temporary resident visa which will help you leave india and enter canada on the basis of the work permit.
