Hello!
I have a question to anyone who KNOWS more about this issue.
I applied for Permanent Residency and I received my CoPR about a month ago. I had to travel back to my home country for some personal affairs, and now I have been told by an immigration agent that my return is only possible by land (i.e. through the states) as I don't have the physical PR card (Only the confirmation of PR and my native passport obv). The PR card should be sitting in my mailbox in Canada at this point.
However, I have seen on two separate government sites that my return should go without complications. I will add the links below:
https://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=1184&top=16
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/immigration-applicants.html
As you can imagine I am a bit torn to whether I should come back through the U.S or just directly fly into Canada directly.
Let me know if you know anything about this!
Thanks!
