Hey guys, its Alex here again, wanted to ask you about CIC client status check update, we got passport request on June 26, 2014, sent it out June 40th, 2014 letter states within 45 days they need to receive it, how long do u guys personally think it might take and also CIC status check still say the same Application and Meds received, when it will be updated (since its been down for the last week or so)), what do u guys think about that>)).

everyone has different experiences with this. some people report it takes 2-3 weeks, some report they don't hear until after the bring forward date, which is the 45 days listed on the request. it's dependant on the visa office, and the officer handling the file. no 2 visa officers seem to do things the same way, so there is no knowing how long anything will take.

as for the cic website, some visa offices don't update the status online. i really don't recommend using ECAS as a reliable source. It may not be updated until after you've heard back, a decision has been made, or at all.

I had a friend for them it took around 4 weeks.

They requested more info and an updated fbi certificate from me on may first and the due date was June 30. I sent everything by beginning of June and still haven't heard anything. So god knows how long it takes for the status to change.
