Hi everyone,

I got RCMP request by CIC today in my email. I was wondering if it is normal to receive this request this soon?

Can anybody tell whats the process to complete this request. Also, how long does it take for the overall process. CIC mentioned that they need the documents within 60 days.

Thanks !

Sure - there isn't a timeline for RCMP requests and it also means they are actually working on your application, which is a good thing. I actually submitted mine along with my application just in case. It's better to get it over with now I think.

I submitted mine with my application as well, but for some reason today they sent me a request for it? Should I resubmit or trust that they have the one I originally submitted?

Now I'm confused..

Who needs to submit RCMP? I've submitted the police certificate from my country with my CEC application.
Will we also have to submit now the RCMP?

I hope someone could clarify this.

tks,
R.

Some people are asked for RCMP, others aren't.

It's possible that someone with the same name as you has a criminal record in Canada.
