Do you have PCC from your home country?

yes . i m in sask.

Check out with Saskatchewan commissionaires office.

Google and contact the nearest office.

I applied for my fingerprints at one of the Winnipeg's offices.

It takes less than a week to get it (they will mail it to your address) and cost near around $70.00

Hi pretty_gril,

Did you submit a police certificate from RCMP? I have a question for you in regards to fingerprint upfront. I searched on the RCMP and found the following
"The fingerprints are only used by the RCMP to confirm your identity. After completion of service, they are destroyed. They are not kept nor searched for other purposes."

I heard that the CIC will check our criminal background in more depth than the police certificate we can get ourselves. Therefore I am confused if CIC still needs to ask for another set of fingerprint regardless of whether we submitted police certificate or not, because they now need to do another search and the fingerprints we submitted were destroyed already?

Many thanks,
Daphne.

Sorry for replying so late.

I did submit my fingerprints from RCMP. We just need to submit our fingerprints and PCC but CIC will perform detailed background checks through CBSA/CIIS/other private companies using the fingerprints we have submitted along with our other information.

So, CIC won't ask for another fingerprints unless its one year old.

Awesome to hear! Thanks a lot for clearing my confusions!
