Hello all,
My spouse and I are submitting an outland spoousal sponsorship application. We have had all the documents ready for a while now but sadly our application is not ready for submission (or so we're told) because the RCMP police check results are not back yet.
As it turned out, the digital/electronic fingerprinting didn't work well because supposedly "some people's fingerprints are not clear enough in a digital test" the person doing the fingerprinting suggested doing an ink-based test "to be safe". While his logic was valid and his advice was probably good, we didn't realize at the time that this would mean a difference between a few days and a few months of waiting to even submit the application!!
Now my question is this - as an "outland applicant" are we able to send the rest of our documents in (we have everything ready - proof of relationship, medicals, police clearance from all other countries lived in for 6 months+, etc. etc.) and then follow up with the RCMP clearance later?? maybe if we just indicated by way of a cover letter that we are still awaiting the results and will send them ASAP??
Any inputs/advice would be much appreciated thanks a lot in anticipation.....
