people used to say the same thing about 450 but things changed so fast now some 450+ r stucksiriusnick said:485 would be almost a definite ITA, I would say 475+ would have a "fair" chance.
Nothing is a sure thing, since we are all guessing, I may as well guess something slightly on the positive side.mead said:people used to say the same thing about 450 but things changed so fast now some 450+ r stuck

Do we know it's his intention officially? It would be fantastic if it is!! But I've only read in the articles that he wants to do away with the LMIA for certain professions (for skilled workers, IT or some science.... Or something similar). I haven't read that he wants to remove the LMIA for students.Alexios07 said:His intention. Let see how it will play out in the Parliament this Fall.
The Liberals government's plan is already pretty clear. You can read them HERE.JALT said:Do we know it's his intention officially? It would be fantastic if it is!! When he talks about removing the need LMIA for "some" categories, it can be a concern for all of us, because we might be in "some other" occupations that still need LMIA. It will throw those people deep down in the list!Alexios07 said:The Liberals government's plan is already pretty clear. You can read them HERE.
For me, this is as official as it can be. The only thing is to wait for it to be approved and officially implemented.
As of now, I don't really care about the LMIA thing anymore. What I need to happen ASAP are the implementation of the extra points for Candian degrees and the "ease some rules for international students".MH_A said:When he talks about removing the need LMIA for "some" categories, it can be a concern for all of us, because we might be in "some other" occupations that still need LMIA. Yes, the most stupid thing ever. My company also lost one talent Logistics manager due to some bs reason. Seems like all skilled applicants are having extremely hard time with LMIA, while all the Timmies, McD and ethnic restaurants "food supervisors" are handed LMIA left and right.Innana said:LMIA is absolute Horse S***.
LMIA is a flawed process this all started with previous government. I dont think they look at the impact of their decisions when they make these stupid changes. Chirs Alaxander screwed us upInnana said:LMIA is absolute Horse S***. I applied for it last July while I was working at a company as a manager, i helped create the company, I even chose the name for the company, I had 3 people working under me and had an assistant. My LMIA failed because we had "too many people applying for it which means it is in high demand", that was the rejection reason on my letter. I lost my job, had to apply for visitor visa, and then applied for PNP. My company owner was livid, she couldn't believe i failed it despite all her efforts. My PNP however was approved in under two month and i got my PR about two month ago.
Funny thing is, i went to work for the same company again! they supported me so much during the process and took me in the moment i got my PR. Unfortunately my assistant and two other staff were let go because my departure messed things up. I wish i could call the officer who rejected me. All her rejection did was to get two people fired and made my life a living hell for 6 month. An untrained, rude, uneducated (she had a 2 years college degree-her profile said) a****** who cost me so much money and i'm back to where i was before with the job.
Sometimes i am tempted to send her an email and say, "hey, up yours, i have the job again."
